When you buy the 7.2ICs, they come with the new style rectangular clips. The old round clips do not work well. Also get the latest generation OEM boost hoses. The ends have been redesigned and are very good. The hoses themselves have a composite mesh core, excellent stuff. When you clip them in you could hang an elephant off of them and they won't come apart. I've never had the OEM stuff come loose in years of hard track use. I used to have Forge hoses and got rid of them as the fit was inferior. The F hose is a different story, the OEM is prone to failure along the seam as it's pure rubber with no internal reinforcement. Make sure you swap the F hose to multi layer silicone.

So I should order hoses for a 997.2 GT2? My 7.2ICs were used and didn't come with any clips.

Also, I'm having a hard time getting the mounting posts to seat fully in the bracket even using some WD40 to lubricate them. Since they won't seat fully, I can't get the thin washers and c-clips on. Is this an issue?? Seems like there is no way these things are coming out even without the c-clips.

You must use 996TT hoses. 997 hoses are totally different. C-clips and thin washers should pop in no problem. If they don't then something is not right..

That makes sense. I should have known that. I'll play with the bracket more. Everything seems to fit perfectly after duct modification, so I don't know what is going on with the bracket. It's also hard to get any leverage on it since it's so oddly shaped.

I just finished mine a couple weeks ago. It is definitely a pita to get the washers and c clips back on. They will go back on.

Got em. First one is in and pressure tested system. Now onto number two. This is extremely time consuming, lol

Hoses popping out

I just completed my 997.2 intercooler upgrade. My hoses keep popping out at 1bar. Looks like I need the new generation hoses.

Get also those new square clips instead of old round ones.

The intercoolers came with the new square edged clips. It just doesn't hold.

Markski has just come back to me stating the 997 hoses are slightly different to the older 996 hoses. I will need to use 997 flanges on the 996 hose.

New style OEM 996TT hoses work perfectly with the 997.2IC. No rocket science, plug and play...

Denso is an OEM supplier and i have these exact coolers on my 996 Turbo.
They are authentic 997 GT2 RS intercoolers and exactly the same as Genuine (made in the same factory but don't have a Porsche logo on it).
I bought them 3 Months ago for 215 UK pounds each.
I bought them from www.bestpartstore.co.uk at their 17% discount rate.
PM me for further info.
