Correct. The vent is different on the GT3 and TT tank.

The vent has nothing do with this. Either GT3 or TT oil tank works with this conversion...

I just did this. The tank has a notch at the 6 o'clock. The tube has the piece attached to fit into that notch. Thank should help you with the orientation.

I just did this yesterday, and the notch on my oil tank pipe adapter is exactly at 12 o’clock position. This was my second try. The trick is to point the guide tube pin at the lower fill tube bolt hole, the turn it clockwise to it seats in the notch at the top of the adapter 12 o’clock position.

That sounds right. The "prongs" are at the 6 notch at the 12
