Integral is infamous around these parts
i purchased my car w/ a non-CA 91 octane tune. tony had me load the stock map and drive ~100miles - it passed with no issues.

tony was extremely helpful and easy to deal with; great customer service. now it's time to load a CA legal tune...or perhaps stick w/ the non-CA 91 tune if that works.

if you've already passed? just install a 91 tune that will complement whatever bolts on's you already have and be done with it. the hard part is done! congrats.

i'm just concerned of the difference in the 91 and 91 CA tunes...our gas IS REALLY BAD. i guess this could be assuaged by adding a gallon or 2 of 100octane every tank too...either way, feeling down on power and i don't like it!

point i was trying to make is that you dont need any vp 109 to wake your car "up"! now that you've passed smog? now you just need to flash the car with a tuned file or two..or even most any OTS flash, and since you've been working successfully w EPL? then you're ( it would seem? ) halfway there, was my point.

there's been ( seems like it recurs a lot this topic and CA smog tests & EPl tunes? ..dont know why? ..) stories of epl's "some of?" tunes and an inability ( would "difficulty" be the more polite word? ) to pass CA smog because either the secondary cats are turned off at the ecu as PART of SOME of their tunes?? ) ( dont let me try to get technical here,..ain't gonna happen ) but that's all now been rendered moot if it was ever true for you already having loaded a stock file and "passing" your CA emissions testing (is how i read it?? ) thats why i say, now just go get flashed and you'll be done. it's best to work with someone that (a) both knows where there car "is" already "at"..and (b) what your eventual power goals or bolt ons/add on's etc at the time of the "new" flash will be to maximize what you are buying. the tune.

my point was that now that you've been working with EPL and things have proven so far to be successful? why not just finish what you started with them?

dont just dump a few gals of VP into the tank.. well, thats like a "mini flash" lol. but it'll be gone in a flash too

you see what i'm sayin'?? just do tha damn thing , and enjoy it.

haha yea i totally get your point - i won't beat the poor horse any more, but i was suggesting using the non-CA tune w/ a lil 100octane to cover any inadequacies from the crappy CA 91 octane gas, not to "up the powah!".

regardless, tony hooked it up and i have the correct tune and we're all set.

bottom line: TONY IS THE MAN...my $.04.

i used to have one a cpl miles away, it KILLED me, since it IS tough to resist $ lol..

and yah, from all that seem to be "in the know" the consensus is, tony is the man! so let er rip! cheers.
