Any help would be appreciated.

The following has been replaced:
Air Circulation Valve
Air Shut Off Valve
Oxygen Sensor
Plugs
Ignition Coils
Cam Lift Sensor/Camshaft Actuator Sensor
One mechanic has suggested that it's valve lifters....the car has +240K miles on it and is my daily driver.

the p0040 suggests the o2 sensors are in the wrong spot in the exhaust, has it been checked the wideband is in the pre-cat spot?
bank1...same side as all the misfires, the flip-clip o2 should be turbo side, the 4 pin/'flat' connector on muffler side. bank 1 is driver side, connectors on left/driver side of airbox/engine mount area

Not sure about "fuel trims", though when I randomly filled the car with Chevron, the check engine light came on less often. So taking things to an extreme conclusion, I filled the car up with 100 octane and the check engine light went off...though I'm told not to do that too often as it will ruin the catalytic converters.

could also be a wiring issue but simple things first...lifter failure on all of only bank 1 would be odd and not explain the o2 sensing issue..but would the misfires..but again odd 3 cylinders all on one side

All 3 indicates a cam issue to me. Something wrong with the wiring, actuator, or mechanism that controls the cam. A Durametric would help diagnose to see if it is doing the same thing as the other side. There was a thread a while back where someone had the mechanism on the sprocket all busted up internally.
Yup think could definitely be a top-end issue, but basics first 👍

Al three cylinders on left bank have problem with valve lift....I suspect a broken cam lift solenoid bracket ... Look here : https://www.6speedonline.com/forums/...-brackets.html
