Leave it to "Bob or Doug McKenzie" from the great white north to bring up some hockey crap that only Canadians & Europeans seem to care about. Most of here are from the U.S. of A. and we care about football, baseball and basketball, and yes in that order. Now let's get some juices flowing again here. USA, USA, USA!

Agreed. It's hard to care about hockey ( let alone being any good at it) when you skate like a 6 year old girl! Hey... let's go watch some "high school" football! What a blast!

Skating in itself is the act of a 6 year old girl.

YEAH... It's on! USA vs. Canada / Hockey vs. Real Sports.

Hey Zippy, there's a good movie out right now that you should go and see, it's called "Miracle". That's a good name because it's a miracle they could even find a dozen or so US guys to care about hockey, none-the-less beat the "world class" Ruskie's and Canucks.

Hey, if I had to watch the Rangers get slaughtered every night, even though they have the highest payroll, I wouldn't be too interested either. Having fun playing basketball on your driveway this winter?

What do you mean? Is it b/c they have an over-the-hill/injured Hall of Fame roster and still trail the Islanders for the last playoff spot? I don't follow hockey anyway and basketball doesn't interest me since Ewing left the Nicks. Spring training is just around the corner and football just ended, so I'll live. I only need 2 sports anymore. Besides, what's up with Canadian-rules football or whatever they call it nowadays? Is it football? Is it soccer? Is it rugby? WTF, you guys! I understand you guys in Canada are searching for your own identity, but please don't try and steal stuff from us. You've got hockey and halfway decent beer and that should be enough. Just because the God-forsaken French are in your midst and give you part of your history is no reason to try and assimilate with us. We're neighbors and that's all. The US doesn't need anymore friends anyway (like we have some now?). Why don't you try and hang out with Mexico? Between your weather and theirs, you might make for a pretty decent climate. You want Dubya to call them up today and see if they are available for a Valentine's date tonight? I know you guys have no plans. "SWEET"

Let's forget about hockey. It's obviously over your head. What's up with Canadian football you ask? YES! You got 1 right. It's Canadian Football. Very good. Glad to see you've heard of Rugby (a real man's game) and soccer also. You ARE so very well read aren't you! You're correct, we do have hockey. But let's get 1 thing straight. We have kick *** beer compaired to the monkey **** you poor bastards have too choke back! Why don't we go hang with Mexico you ask? - That's funny... I thought I read "Latino's" were the majority in the USA. So, by talking to you, I kinda am 'hanging' with Mexico. How you enjoying that Mr. "I don't need none new friends"? You should get on the internet and learn a bit about what goes on outside the N.Y. State border. ****, you don't seem to know what's going on in NY either. Looked outside lately? You got yourself some bigtime winter! We've been above freezing most of the season. Have any other "well though out" digs?

Latinos the majority? WTF?

Our beer does blow. I agree there. Luckily, the USA is wealthy enough to import good stuff.

Soccer is a complete wussy game and sport for the peasants. The best thing about soccer is the fans killing themselves off in riots. That's darwinism at its finest!

Just remember this, the Salvation Army could kick Canada's *** on a good day. hehehehe

I kid I kid (about Canada anyway, not soccer... serious about soccer... gay *** sport)

PS. The only major city in the USA with majority Latino is San Antonio. If it's the ONLY one, then there's no way in hell Latino's are a majority in the USA. They're not even a majority in Texas. Not even close to majority. They're the 2nd largest group, but a long way from majority.

Scott... I agree with everything you've said. Especially with my incorrrect assumptions on population density in the USA by ethnicity.

I did a little analysis on the population distributions in the USA. By compairing 1990 and 2000 data from the census bureau, I was way out of line with the Latino comment. But, interestingly enough, if one extrapolates the growth rates of the Latino population (57.9% total return) along with other non-white Americans (42.7% T.R.) over that decade, it is enevitable as the white American population only grew by 5.9% over the same period.

All things being equal (which they never are of course - for example illegal immigrints don't get polled in a census), minority time arrives on January 26th, 2038.

So, I guess it's fair to say that Red Devil has a few years to be a $#%&#(@!(*&$! before he'll decide making friends isn't always a bad thing.
