You know what, what's with all this **** about highway and drag racing? If I cared about that, wouldn't I be driving a built R34 Skyline with 1000hp or better yet, kept my 996TT?

For your information.... I'll bow down to the F40 out of respect, most Ferraris and Lambos are Italian garbage, but the F40 is my favorite car of all time. My GT2 may be faster overall, but an F40 is an F40 any way you dice it.

I guess you, Mad Hatter, and Y65MPH forgot or don't know about my car prior to the GT2. You guys talk as if the GT2 is the first fast car I have owned. The GT2 is way, way slower in the straights than my ex Protomotive 996TT.

Those of you who keep mentioning straight line performance are not the type of people who can truly appreciate a GT2. You guys just don't get it.

If all I did was want to blow away cars on the highway I would've kept building that Turbo of mine, it was a ****in monster. Anyone who has seen the car would agree.

Well let me enlighten you guys further for those who don't know yet, my previous Porsche won the 6SpeedOnline/European Car Magazine 996TT shootout. At 1.2 bar, it runs 10's in the quarter and laps fast around the track, all with the same setup.

The fact that I traded it in for a "slower" GT2 speaks volumes about how magnificent the GT2 is as a complete package.

And for Mad Hatter, I used to live in Chicago and it's still one of my favorite cities. You guys have a lot of things going for you out there. BUT don't even front like you midwest guys have the fastest **** out there on the streets. Import racing started in Cali, all you guys followed afterwards, and yall know it. Besides, you have 3 ****ing feet of snow every winter, how the hell do you plan to drag your Supra in that???

Come to Cali and see what it's about. Even the CHICAGO guys will tell you that. The Protomotive 996TT and Buddy's Stage 5 can give ANY car a good run for the money, especially to over 200mph. Oh, and without the blue bottle, thank you very much.

Actually, I'm 25, and I grew up with some money as well as made my own money by hard work. You think money is a new thing to me dr. bill?

Have you ever thought of the possibility that I'm just bored? And people like you are utterly boring?

Oh wait, you're a doctor, right? You're SUPPOSED to be boring. Not much creativity in being a physician nowadays except for how to bill HMOs to the max. Or unless you're a plastic surgeon in Beverly Hills, those guys are great with their beautiful "creations."

Luting,

The new owner is in Central California.

You should have done the Garrett package from Protomotive from the start. Trust me, it's a different ballgame, but it will scare you.

Tyson,

I hope the GT2 has not caused you to change plans about ORR! I fully expect to give you a very long 200+ ride on a Nevada highway. I also expect you to show up and support my Team Porsche group in Nevada. Remember, even Rookie Watt grabbed a first place trophy in his GT2 in Nevada. CLANK!

R

P.S.
Stand 21 hat,Race Quest SA5 suit, etc. See you soon in sunny Southern California. Writing this from Cleveland.OMG!

Well, I've been lurking for quite a while, and your note just forced me to register and post.

As a preface, be aware that your post is floating around on numerous automotive forums (many that see A LOT more traffic than 6speed), all of which have some not so favorable responses, to say the least.

First and foremost, the thoughts you have expressed in this thread have shown that you are the epitome of a NON auto enthusiast. You are very quickly giving a bad name to your Porsche peers, and it's unfortunate, considering this site is filled with many rational and level-headed individuals (Red Devil, DrBill, and many others come to mind)

A quote from your first post
"What a moron. I'm glad I didn't stoop down to his level. It must suck to own a Vette, having a constant inferiority complex."

One word, WOW. Do you even comprehend what you are writing? Anyone with even a shred of automotive knowledge wouldn't have the ability to make a comment like that, let alone make that a basis for their argument. Enthusiasts appreciate all types and forms of cars, from classics, to american muscle, to compacts, to exotics, and so forth.

I could go on for pages, but will restrain myself. I'll leave you with a quote from an individual on one of the other forums.

"Hope his license plate reads 'THNX DAD'. Enjoy
