BTW, I don't look down on all M3's. I just think that car is played out. In some parts of LA, if you park your M3 at a Chinese supermarket (think Ranch 99 market) you can't even find your car in the parking lot cause there are so many of them. The tuning options are also limited as the high compression motor is pretty much maxed out.

The M3 CSL is a fine car, even though its rival the GT3-RS is better.

I like my M5-- I just like my GT2 more.

I also liked the Protomotive Turbo as well, but it is soooooo different than the GT2. Dr. Jim would understand that if he bothered to actually drive a GT2.

But then he would be getting rid of his Turbo the next day if he appreciated handling.

On the issue of gay marriage, my favorable view is definitely from knowing lesbian couples. Especially ones with children where a legally recognized marriage would safeguard the preservation of the family should the birth mother of the couple pass away. Considering the high rate of divorce in this country I'd say the institution of marriage has already lost any sanctity attributed to it so why not extend it to non-traditional couples? They'd likely take it much more seriously than the folks that keep the wedding chapels in Las Vegas and Reno busy.

And now, since this is ostensibly a forum for discussing Porsches, I'm going to limit myself to commenting on car related topics. Like why it's harder to find a Prius for sale than a GT3. Something is just wrong with that.

 

Well, at least we see eye-to-eye on something. I agree with you on the gay marriage issue. To say because I drive I Turbo and not a GT-2 means I don't appreciate handling is crazy. I can tell you your GT-2 isn't now, and never can be the best handling car in the world, production or otherwise. It is your frame of reference and in your opinion, from what you've driven, it is the best. That's good for you, but it doesn't mean everyone will see it the same way you do, even after driving both. Unless you are a professional racer, handling feel is subjective, especially on the street. Even on the track, there are always different set-ups for a given car and that's also why they make different cars. Not everyone needs to agree with you in order for you to be right. You have a tremendous car in your GT-2 and you should be proud and happy to own it. Putting down "lesser" cars or ones you don't think "handle" as well doesn't make your car any better. It is what it is.

 

I am so sick of this Gay f-ing agenda being shoved down our throats. BEING GAY IS NOT NORMAL. Anyone who thinks it is is NOT NORMAL. In God's eyes, and I don't care which religion you are from...Marriage is between a man and a women. It had been that way for thousands of years and in EVERY Culture. If they want to have some legal status as far as parental right's, ect. fine, just done call it marriage. And for those that adopt children, I sure hope they bring them up as "normal" children and don't try to turn them into gays. Teaching tolerance of the gay lifestyle is fine, imposing it is not!!! I feel bad for these children. On one hand they have the advantage of having loving parents...Mommie 1 and Mommie 2 or Daddy1 or Daddy2 or Mommy and Daddy depending on what role one or the other wants to take that day, but the ridicule those children will take in school when growing up will be very hurtful to them and perhaps turning them into Gays.

I don't buy the liberal/homo theory that you are born gay. Something happened during the child's early years, whether it's molestation or the like. If you want to be gay fine, just don't shove it in our faces. I hope the Democrats/Liberals's are happy. They have done nothing but contribute to the moral decay of this society and **** on every moral institution and beleif this country was founded on. Recent road tests in UK - GT and porsche tested a GT3 GT2 and TT...basically the GT2 didn't handle as well as the GT3 the GT3 being a superb drivers car and the bottom line being the TT was still the best all round car between the three of them

That's pretty easy...I would not count on a 997 GT2 or GT3...If they do, it's a few years off and won't they be ready for the 998??? Also there are no guarantees those cars will be offered to the soft/cushy loving American market.
