That should be interesting, planning their own wedding shower with multiple grooms, or is it brides, or is it grooms... I'm confused.

Either way, I'll bet their belts will match their shoes. I wonder which one will make the bed and who will take out the trash?

More importantly, while grossly of the topic of automobiles, does anyone feel there should be a lager selection of smilies. I don't feel the current selection represents my true range of emotions.

what would Jesus drive?

would he drive a Ricer to bond with the poor, or a GT2 to more easily speak with God?

I've never bashed Turbos, I had one that won the Shootout silly. Critcizing and bashing are two distinctly different things. Sorry if you can't handle someone else's opinion that has actually owned both cars.

We are definitely different people.

I have every right to bash my M5 because I own one, have spent way more money on mods than most owners, and have had my fair share of problems with it. Why can't I bash a car that I own? It doesn't mean it's a bad commuter car.

There are other cars I like. I really do like the 996TT as I do all Porsches. I really love the GT3, GT3-RS and Aston AM V8. Now there's a start... Both those cars list for LESS than the GT2.

And how do you know if the Turbo and GT2 are so similar if you haven't DRIVEN a GT2? That's what I don't get about you.
When I say similar, I was referring to looks and power, not necessarily handling but that isn't going to be world's apart either. The GT-2 probably does have a more "pure" driving feel to it, being RWD and having a different suspension set-up. I agree with you. All I'm saying is I have no interest in changing from the Turbo to the GT-2 b/c I like my car just fine. When i do change, it will be to something totally different. That's just me. My other point is you have one of the great cars produced and so do I. There is no need to bash other people or their rides just because it isn't as good as yours. That is, unless they start talking sh#t about you or yours in the first place. The guys in your story appeared to give props to you and your car but you bashed them and their car. You've done it elsewhere in other posts as well. It doesn't make you a criminal, just arrogant.

Hey, WTF! This post fell to page 3 for the first time since it started. Come on fellas, we can't let an ex-6 speed legend like Buddy own the #1 thread of all time. Use this thread to post your meaningless questions instead of starting a new thread (Rave, are you listening?). Use this thread to make inflammatory comments about someone's significant other (Scott, did you get back from that clandestine trip to SF yet?) Use this thread to show pictures of your car or some other car. But most of all, use this thread!

Dr. Jim, I see you use the word ex-6 speed legend. Are you suggesting the Budman is sporting a carrot suit down in Texas???

I'm not privy to any inside information but I'm guessing that would have to be the only thing that would have taken Buddy from us. Either that or a liberal group of protestors overthrew his hometown and took him as a political prisoner.

Maybe Mrs. BuddyG has him on house arrest. After all, we are all a bad influence on buddy. 6speedonline is responsible for taking away his innocence!

I have seen the buddyg screen name online a couple of times as of late...My attempts to get a response at those times have failed. I am pretty sure that it's Mrs. G lurking. My guess, Budman is vacationing in Texas...As they say, don't mess with Texas. I hope he is well and will be back home soon...

EDIT: His last post was 2/15/04
