Interesting interaction today
2 obnoxious Persian guys were dodging cars and weaving through traffic to catch up to me on PCH. They followed me all the way to my destination to hit me up in their Z06 tonight and told me they wanted to see what my GT2 could do.
I told them that there was nothing to prove, everyone knows my car is much faster than that .... thing... that they were driving. Sorry, but I don't acknowledge Corvettes.
He said he knew that, but wanted to see if I could really drive a GT2.
Hmmm... guess he hasn't seen me in the canyons?
I said, BRO, there is no way I'm going to do crazy **** on crowded public roads with all the traffic and pedestrians (we were on Cross Creek Road in Malibu). So he said, oh that's cool bro, and just went on his way.
What a moron. I'm glad I didn't stoop down to his level. It must suck to own a Vette, having a constant inferiority complex.
One thing nice about a GT2 is that you have nothing to prove to anyone. If you know how to drive it, you have comfort knowing that nothing this side of a Radical can touch you.

Tyson,
First off, congratulations on the car! I may be behind the curve (MIA lately), but this is the first I knew of you getting one. I have heard everyone expound upon the virtues of the GT2. I have never driven one and really wish to. How much different (read better) is the GT2 handling compared to a tricked out TT. Let's say the GT2 is a 10. What would the TT be? A 5? An 8?
Regards,
Ken

Well, I would have to say that in terms of handling, even a modded Turbo (perhaps except for Cary Eisenlohr's and CJVs) would be a 6 or 7 compared to a GT2.
Ken, you should definitely drive a GT2. But I am warning you, once you drive one, you'll definitely want to buy one. It is the BEST stock car I have ever driven.

hahaha, you are too funny Lou.
i was taking my little sis out though, don't want to set a bad example...

"2 obnoxious Persian guys were dodging cars and weaving through traffic to catch up to me on PCH." - hmm, if I saw an Enzo or GT or some other awesome car I'd be doing the same thing (hell I did it the other day to get a better look at a GT3) ... a GT2 vs. a Corvette is a similar feeling I'm sure.
"It must suck to own a Vette, having a constant inferiority complex." - what's wrong with a Vette? Better than those guys in there MBZ AMG's thinking they've got a sports car. At least the Vette guys are enthusiasts.
But those guys should have known their place when they saw a GT2 and not asked for a "race"

You know yourself that when you were getting the GT3, it was much better than a Turbo, modified or otherwise. Then instead you got the modified Turbo and that was (and proved itself to be) the best, and now the GT2 is the best. I hope you are thankful for the things you have and have earned them yourself, but even if so I don't think you should look down upon others just because what you have may be "better" than what they have. I'm not looking for a war of words with you, I'm just offering a bit of advice that may serve you well some day.

Wow is your post laced with all kinds of elitist tones and condescending attitudes. You may be a great guy and I'm sure we would be friends if we lived near each other but it makes me cringe when someone with nice things (anything) takes these attitudes. Maybe these guys were egging you on and you were just mad, but "you don't acknowledge Corvettes." Come on.
