Rippers car (the one Gary drove) wasn't making 1700, no way. It didn't trap high enough, he might have been putting 1300 to the wheels on that pass.

I believe Garths car (the 7.98@183 6speed) was making upwards of 1700 though.

yeah, they are real slow

yup, without going to a motec with 10 coils, you don't have a choice. The stock coil setup uses 2 coils, one firing 6 cylinders, the other firing 4. It's a strange setup but gets the job done.

Heck those 1700hp cars use stock heads (ported), stock crank, stock block, and in many cases the stock intake manifold. Say what you will but they are strong as %$#)$&@. Even the bone stock 97-99 cars will make 900rwhp on a stock motor with a little boost on pump gas.

Yes, if you read the passage under the video Gary mentions the car was not on full tilt. The slicks couldnt even handle what they had so why add more? The car is certainly capable of it and Gary himself has one similar on the way.

Do you own a viper or know any of the people you are talking for? I'd try to get your facts straight before you put your foot in your mouth. Gary and Jason happen to be a friends of mine so I don't need to hear what he has coming, I know more about it than most.

And it wasn't the tires causing it not to hook, it was all in the suspension, as proven by the UR video going faster on smaller tires.

I'm sure Gary and Jason would appreciate it if you reduced the strain on their ********.

LOL, a little sensitive are we???? It's Gary who's foot is in his mouth if he says in HUGE LETTERS that the car makes 1700 hp. Do you want a cookie because you know Gary??? Who cares???? I could care less, I was just telling these guys that it's possible in the Viper or am I mistaken on that too?

I looked at a viper but I wanted something that likes to turn so I got a Porsche instead. Got a problem with that?

Joe Viper's are indeed awesome, and yours was nice as well. But i would think its a waste unless it was just your go fast car. I mean i rather have the 10 second turbo ANY DAY over a 8-9 second Viper, its 100x more useable IMO!

The #1 statement from people who can't drive... I love it. It's ok to admit you couldn't handle the car, no worries. They aren't for everyone, and it does take some serious brass and a lot of skill to go fast in one.

But saying they don't handle well is just rubbish. I'd like to see some track times comparing a 996TT or GT2 against pmums ACR times... I bet it would be quite shocking to say the least.

LOL, thanks for the negative rep, that hurts my feelings. I should have figured you were one of the Viper Alley clowns. How is it the number one excuse for people that cant drive? Because I want to drive on a Road Course? Did I mention I have a 800 soon to be 900 rwhp corvette? You seriously dont have a clue WTH your talking about so you best shutup.

If you want to put driving skills to the test I'm ready and willing any time.

Well the early RT's and GTS Viper's did have such ****ty handling! BUT, they reworked them i think 96-97 on up? I was in my friend's GTS ACR 2001 wth nothing but factory Harnesses and Toyo RA1's on Limerock track.

He is a hired professional driver, the cars capability with a professional was mind blowing, the car was INSANELY fast and handled like it was on rails, to say the least i was left astonished!
