Jean,
Sure, go for it
sounds like fun
Then again, I'd love to see a 60-130 run in Bobby's 993tt ;p At 850 to the tires, weighing in aroun 2700lbs? We're talking high 3's?
He could probably do a 160-230 run in the 6's
That would give the aircooleds something to rest on
Ooops.. This is a 996tt/gt2 forum, not an aircooled forum, shame on us ;p

Bobby's 993TT does not exist, it is a myth, Todd just wants to keep me humble, I know!

It seems like the power potential of the 996 is just incredible. Not too long ago, I thought triple digit HP was only possible with vipers corvettes and supras ( considering modern cars, as in 95+, only ).
Now, my question is, it seems like more power can be extracted. With the redline being 8k rpms, the car has a good 4k of full boost power band. Ive read the fuel injectors are maxed out. Cant larger injectors be custom made and push more HP?
Also, is this kind of power possible with the 997 too?

However, right now we're able to exceed the 1000hp mark with these injectors, combined with a 1000hp MAF and scalable in software to that same level... To go beyond that starts creating issues all around. We wouldn't want to lose idle and low speed drivability just for another couple hundred horsepower? Would we?
As for the 997tt's, we'll hit a wall with the VGT's if we haven't already. Then, it'll be time to go to more standard turbo's for the higher power levels. I suspect that the computer controlled AWD system will start getting a little upset like the old 964 C4's did and start acting like honda's by spinning their front tires only... But you never know, technologies come so far, we'll see how they react as the power levels go up. We've hit 561.5awhp on them already with some turbo upgrades, ecu, muffler and airfilter mods. They've been quite amazing

Vincent... Bobby's red car (from Hell as it's been pleasantly called from time to time) is a complete carbon fibre bodied 993tt, 2wd with a G50/52 gearbox, racing ltd. slip, solid rear suspension components (heims) and subframe mounts coupled with the triple carbon clutch. The engine is a 3.8/evo cammed tt engine running a modified varioram intake only running high speed mode with the twin throttles feeding the large plenum, 12 993tt injectors, twin msd 6a's, twinplug, welded/reinforced/flameringed heads, methanol injection with twin modified GT35r's with lightweight turbines and 76lb compressors... It's running our Pressure sensing Motronics based on the 95 993na brain, like Jeans car.. Last time we ran it, we ran out of turbo, so we just got the new turbo's and are ready to have some fun
He's run some 9.3's at 163mph in it and is looking for some 8's with the current setup.I'm sure he'll be doing some demo runs in it at the Tulsa event for some good gawking ;p
