Yep. Essentially my old setup but with GT30R's instead of K24/18G's.

The car was delivered exactly how I asked, and performed flawlessly on our spirited test drive along AR43…by the way what a great mountain road! I now know why I don’t like being a passenger I am so glad I didn’t just have it shipped back….or I wouldn’t have experienced the warm greeting I received at the Compton One, or the unique off-road access road to their ranch. For anyone who is considering shipping their car back from Protomotive, I highly recommend you take the time to visit Todd and Cynthia in person. Not only will you visit a beautiful part of the country, but only then will you be able to appreciate how the Knighton’s really operate.

Congrats!!!! I have been preaching this about Protomotive for years..

Congrats. Those are some impressive numbers. Now imagine another 100 HP. That setup will be making 200 more HP than my Stage 3 car. 33% mre HP Rolls off the tongue easy, but blasts up the on ramp.

Do you have rods? Isn't 700 WHP exceeding the rod limits?

Thumbs up My Protomotive Plans:

My set-up will be similar to Scott's previous but I am adding larger throttle body in the mix. Since I have been dieting to get ready for summer,
my car will be dieting also...

Compared to Markski's

If this car holds with Markski's in the 1/4 mile, then the 1/4 mile tells a sad story

JWC: OhioGT2's car has GT3071R's with a Cargraphic (restrictive) muffler modified to fit the Garrett's, 44mm TiAl w/g's, modified headers, Protomotive's air intake system, high flow pumps, high flow injectors, 1000hp MAF, Protomotive Intercoolers, DV's, Protomotive ecu tuning and a triple disc Carbon clutch. You'd think it had a lot more on it considering how full his SUV was bringing parts home!

Response to 700hp limit...
Yes, the power is high for stock internals... If it was to be run on pump fuel all the time, I'd be quite worried. In early runs, at only 16psi on pump fuel, prior to the timing getting sorted out, you could hear the heads lift... Not a nice sound. The boost was quickly turned down to 11.5psi, optimized, then slowly moved back up. After the 15psi runs, we went to VP103 and stayed there.
So, in answer to your question, pump fuel at this power level is quite dangerous, especially with the inconsistencies you'll see at the pump. The majority of our systems come with external boost control to run lower boost on pump fuel, higher boost on various grades of fuels.
Bobby's been running stupid boost levels on his white 996tt in Tulsa, but he's also running C23 VP racing fuel on it, and it's keeping the engine alive...
Even our k24/18G cars are recommended to stay around 1.0 bar on pump fuels and only run the higher levels on a quality fuel. Especially the poor folks in California stuck with the horrible fuels they're forcing on you. East coast people have great fuels and can run 1.2 in comparison, still on pump fuels, with the same calibration...
Fuel is the lifeblood of your engine, and with the high compression ratio's on these engine's, it's critical that you honor that.

JWC is infamous around these parts
LOL, yes it amazing how many parts Porsche can squeeze into the small motor compartment. I would think small hands and LOTS of tools are required to be a P mechanic. ps Thanks for posting I know you are very busy.

Todd,

Once in a while (very infrequently, actually) I will turn my boost controller up so that I am making a bit over 590 rwhp. I run Texas 93. 99% of the time I am in low boost (a guesstimated 520hp). When I go to Tx2k to track and do 60-130 runs I will definately run 100 plus octane. However, how dangerous are my rare high boost activities on 93?

Wood,

He is referring to 700 (rwhp I believe) and poor Cali gas. Texas gas (although not as good as it used to be) is better than Cali gas, and I am far short from 700 rwhp. Obviously I am better off w/ 100 octane, but it is a hassle to get and I don't always have it when the occasional Z06 needs the highway beatdown. hence the question about infrequent use of high boost.

I considered the boost controler. what I dont uderstand is, lets say you put
****ty gas without knowing & run high boost. The ECU is handicaped because
it can only control timming! Am I correct? Excuse my Ignorance.
