Strange problem

Well, the roads here finally cleared up and I was back from traveling for a couple weeks so it was a good opportunity to take the beast out for some late-night driving.

So I switched off the PSM once I got onto the highway and hit it hard. Pulled pretty good well into the triple digits, but all of a sudden the coolant warning light went on. Just had all three rads replaced under warranty about a month ago and temps looked fine, but I pulled into the slow lane and monitored for a while. Light stayed on for about 5 min UNTIL I switched the PSM back on. Then the warning light went off.

Weird. Anyone else ever experience this?

could the fluid level be a little low and during acceleration it "saw" an even lower level which trigged the light?

Bingo, it was just a coincidence - totally unrelated. Went back to my garage today to take her out, and noticed a huge puddle of coolant under the drivers side radiator with the whole underbody soaking wet. One of the radiators that the OPC had replaced under warranty (although it does not look new at all) seems to have sprung a leak.

Anyway, back to the OPC for more repairs. I swear if it's not one thing it's another with this car so far. Hope this is the last of it...

It all sounds related. You had a problem with your rads, dealer replaced them and now a coolant light? Take it back to the guy who got paid to fix it.

Yeah, no kidding - they f'ed up the warranty repair obviously. I'm not real happy about it. Partially took the bumper cover off and the rads don't even look new. Dealer is 200mi away - wish me luck.
