Procedure to eliminate the malfunction light from the spoiler.
For those that convert to the aerokit decklid - I have the OEM harness for the hydraulic wing and recently installed the areokit fixed wing. I had to disconnect the two electrical connectors for the hydraulic system to remove the original deck lid. At first, I taped the two little switches tightly, which made the contacts touch. I went for a drive and got the wing problem light at 70 mph. Next, based on advice received here, I removed the tape and let the swiches remain open and went for a drive. NO CEL. I have now driven several times, with occasion to reach speeds in excess of spoiler deployment speed and no light. There was no jumper wiring required. All I had to do was disconnect the connectors to the hydraulic system and tuck them out of sight, under the plastic cover. Couldn't have been any easier.
I think that those of you that want a fixed position on the hydraulic wing can probably set the desired height, then pull the two connectors and tuck them up and away like I did. Not sure, but I think it should work.

What are the color codes of the wires you disconnected?
Do you have pictures?
I simply disconnected the two plugs on the passenger side piston, that power the hydraulic system. I enclosed them in a small plastic bag, taped it shut and tucked it under the plastic cover. This is simply a "disconnection" of existing fittings. That's all it required.

What is the procedure to keep my stock wing in up position all the time? Do i still need this harness or just crossing wires will do the trick? Please help. I am already on my second hydraulics and motor, still went bad.
I have now ordered the Aerokit wiring harness, first of all to see what the differences there are with the GT2 Decklid item & vs TT, I am sure its 99% identical but not Porsche charges $50 more just because its a GT2 part
I will post photos when it arrives

RichardCH,
This will be interesting. I can not see any reason the GT2 and aerokit rears would require anything different, since niether have the hydraulic spoiler system. You would think they would be the same piece. Maybe there is a slight overall length difference for proper fit to each car.
To make this very simple - all I did was disconnect the two connections to the hydraulic system and tucked them under the plastic liner out of sight. I have no lights whatsoever. It could not have been any easier.

I'd very much like to try this method, but would appreciate some pictures or diagrams if anyone has them. I'm surprised it works as well as it does, but am happy to hear there might be a solution to folks who want to leave the rear wing up or down.

John,
Thanks for the simple solution. I disconnected the blue wire from the passenger side piston assembly. Now no malfunction errors and the spoiler stays up when activated. Perfect!
This is the easiest solution thus far...
If you want it stay down the same should work.
Ps: I just disconnected the bottom plug (blue wire)...left the top one in...not sure what the function of the top plug is.

Wait for my pic later today.
Yes, there is nothing to this - all the talk about a special wiring harness does not seem accurate. I am on 3 months of daily driving now with no lights from a simple disconnection (like vb said - 10 seconds). This could not be any easier.

My car has a GT2 lid on it and pops the malf light regularly. I too would like to eliminate this. However the swap has been done and obviously nothing is there plugged in so simply pulling stuff doesn't appear to have worked in my case. Pics of wiring locations etc. would be helpful for an investigation!
