Door Adjustment

Hi Everyone,

On my 04 C4S I feel like I have to slam the drivers door to get it to shut properly, the passenger door can be closed lightly and it latches but the driver door does not close unless I slam it shut. Is there a way to adjust the lock mechanism? Anyone every done this?

Thanks

Hey all, hate to revive such an old thread but looking for some advice on door adjustment. Haven't been able to find much...

Passenger side door is quite easily closed, drivers side requires a little more force? Is it a simple case of lubricating the inner latch mechanism? Or is it more complicated and requires the striker/catch on the door jamb to be adjusted?

Thanks!

Have you confirmed this with the windows open? The last door closed is always a little harder because of the air pressure within the car. Make sure you are not taking the door apart for nothing...

very easy to adjust. loosen the 2 triple square(don't use a star bit or flat head as you will strip it) on the latch that's on the body. Move it just a little and tighten. Try closing. Repeat until the door closes easily

Thought so I don't think I have access to that style of head. What's it's official name?

Also on the lubrication is some silicon spray okay?

Thanks!
