I'm no electrician, but if someone has the right electrical diagnostic tools they could check for whatever the resistors are designed to do, and if the equipment reads different values between the left assembly and the right one which gives an error message then you will know that there is a discrepancy between the two lights. This discrepancy in readings would prove that there is an inherent defect within the right light assembly - if one was to exist. If there is no discrepancy, but the right light produces an error message, then perhaps it has something to do with the car's light module or the right light wiring loom.

However from what we are seeing many issues tend to come from the right light which makes me think that it is a defect related to assembly/design with the right DRL LED light. But what do I know...

Some other intrepid soul will have to do this. After pulling them for the third time to put in the resistor I would rather just let them stay put and hope that I never have to pull them out again!

The last time took my 45 minutes just to get them back out of the bumper!

Resistors in, error msg out. Took about 10 minutes to do both. Hopefully there will be no further suprises. These DRL LED are good looking though...

Great to hear DirtyVegas! Did you install the resistors to the left and right side lights? It sounds like you did, just confirming.... Simply to make sure everybody is crystal clear on how to install the resistors, can somebody please explain it in detail, possibly with a few photos?

I'm still looking for some input on whether there is any downside to installing these plug-in resistors to both lights? Even if the car is only throwing a right side code, wouldn't it be smart to install resistors to both sides to be completely covered and safe?

Ray, any insight? Anybody else?

interesting question jay jones, I would like to know this as well. Ray do we install resistors on both side or just the problematic side?

if the left does not have an error then it does not have a faulty resistor i imagine

I installed only on the problem side and it has gone away. I drove about 45 minutes today. I'm holding the other one in reserve in case I need it in the future.

HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYONE!!!!!

Install both resistors to make it even on both sides.

ROTTEC & ORANGE TUNING, and the other DRL led on sale on EBAY are all the same.

Compared my DRLs from Frank @ ORANGE TUNING and a friends ROTTECS from Ray and both are identical.

All they need to do is add resistors to the middle city light/parking light plug and everything will be fine.

My DRL mod list:
*DRL led front replacement lights
*Resistors (both sides) for city/parking lights
*Dectane DRL module
*Wired so that DRL is on whether headlights are off or on, but DRL is off when FOG light switch is on.

Additional pix and a vid of the DRLs

Hope everyone loves their DRLs

Exhaust is Akrapovic Sports Cup exhaust.

For the DRL module, I used DECTANE TFLM-03

Read the first post on this thread... it explains the 3 different modules available from DECTANE.

Well, I thought I was free and clear after 200 miles with no errors but I was mistaken. After a canyon drive yesterday through the twisties I got the right light error. PM sent Ray, please send me my resistors

BTW, everyone who sees the lights loves them, they look awesome!

I found only 1 resistor plug in to the side which has warning light will fix the problem. But I've included 2 resistors to anyone who requests.
