Just changed battery and PCM won't work

Please help.Just had my battery replaced and i can get the PCM to operate. Everything else seems to be working ok, But the Audio/Nav ect won't turn on. Is there anything i should try? Thanks

Thanks. Actually it was the 15amp PCM fuse. Not sure why that blew when they changed they battery?

Because they put it in backwards first, heard a pop and flipped it around. Just a guess.

Yea maybe. BTW, I need to replace the spare 15amp fuse. Do i need to buy any particular brand of anything off the shelf should be fine?

Any brand is fine, just match the electric current rating (amps). Bring the dead one in with you to make sure you get the right size. IIRC there are four automotive blade fuse types.

That's what I did

Standard 15 Amp fuse will work.

I know it happens...but hard to believe with that big red cap over the positive terminal on the Walmart battery. Maybe they should label it with a "+" sign...oh wait they do

Not a matter of seeing what's positive on the battery, my cables are both black. Late at night, 100 degrees, humid and in a hurry. Those are all my excuses.

Even without the excuses it's an easy mistake to make. Porsche does not label to cables well and there's plenty of length in them to hook it up backwards.

lol Glad to know i'm not alone. l put the jumper cables on backwards by mistake one day. Took me 2 days to figure out it was the fuse on the back of the PCM that blew.

BTW, Does anyone know the name/type of 15amp fuse i need to purchase ? Forgot the old one at home.
