hahahhaahh M3 beats 997S
ILL,
Yeah bro. I'm excited. But the REAL question is... what does your Turbo run? I bet I can't touch that with a 1 second handicap. Anyways, I was really wanting rear wheel drive this time. Last car I had was a pretty stout V8 S4 with a decent amount of mods (intake, flash, headers, exhaust, cats). I lived in the mountains then and could drive horribly and still be fast. Now, I'm honestly kind of scared of what my car with my dumb *** behind the wheel will do to my epidermis. That's why I'm investing a good chunk in track training in my car with a Cup racer and an extended stay at Panoz. I've never driven a TT 911, so I'm not saying that they are like an S4. I know better than that. My fave though is a GT2, and I wanted something like that. So... back to my initial question... what does your monster do?

Car is MUCh faster now, and it was abnormally fast before, Scott ran an 11.6 at 126mph on a good NE track, he can drive also. Im confident in my driving and my car, ive beaten and kept up with FAST cars and bike's (lost by a CL to friends supercharged viper, 738rwhp rt10) and just beat a ninja and gsxr750 not by a little either, the car runs hard.
As for you and your situation, its very different if you arent use to a RWD, "nimble" and light car compared to your S4. I had a stripped out for the most part and light M3, with a GOOD amount of power being pumped out, traction was always an issue and i never drove with traction control, im not an idiot driver but learned control and drivability on that car, so much that the 996tt was BORING! Now its up there again in terms of fun being RWD, pretty damm light and good amount of power. I dyno tuesday when i pick my car up, i'll post the results and hopefully hit the track by the end of the week, im real curious to.
Your 997S supercharged will be VERY quick man, it will be an 11 second car, it also is like the M3 in terms of rev's, it still wont have monsterous turbo torque, but will be extremely fun! Be safe, be confident in your driving and car, i was scared going from AWD to RWD the way i push it in corners and twisties, especially a road course when i will be going in 2 weeks, im not use to it. But now im entering corners and coming out just as fast and confident as i was in AWD, fact is the 996tt in awd masks driver's skill, i dont like that, it wasnt challenging one bit! Now i realized, the car was just so well engineered and built for POWER and to put it down without a problem, car breaks loose under boost coming out of a turn or straight line 2nd gear, but its easily controllable and snaps right back with correction!
Goodluck and be safe! Martin

On the Beetle... Wow.
ILL, That's awesome about the GT2 conversion. If I would have known that existed or was possible, I may have gone another route. Anyways, as for my confidence in driving a RWD car, I'm modest, and for a reason. I know everyone thinks they are a good driver, so I just don't think I am. However, I'm a 28 year old redneck from Tennessee who paid for college by starting up a resto/mod shop in my garage strictly for Datsun 240Zs, 1970-1972... once or twice a 73. Anyways, these cars don't have any traction this or Antilock that, and they don't weigh but about the same as an Elise. We were turboing them with Fuel Injection. We were adding V8s, stiffening the unibody, adding triple mikunis, and all that. I even built inventory to take on a flatbed to Atlanta and sell at NOPI Nationals before that went all haywire. So I've driven lots of RWDs, granted without this much power, but with a similar power to weight ratio. Not to mention that the 911 has a pretty fantastic traction control system which more than offsets the engine hanging out the *** end.
With that said, I'm a rookie. I have only 5k miles experience behind the wheel of a Porsche and much of that was break in. Most of what I DID learn is likely hence thrown out the friggin window with all these mods, suspension included. So we'll see. What I wanted is something that I would not tire of so soon. I've traded 8 or 9 times in little over two and a half years. Ouch. So I want something that I have a long learning curve on (not that I mastered all the rest, by any stretch) and that will always be, well, special. A fully modded Porsche from the get-go is a big leap of faith. If it pays me back well with little trouble and loads of fun, I will likely keep it forever. I took a chance on it and it rewarded me. If it blows, I'll fix it right and count it as a lesson learned.... then sell it and get a GT2.
I got WAAAAAAAAY off topic here, but this thread seems to be just perfect for that. BMW fights acting all crazy on OUR forum, jet powered Bugs, and my ranting about being a hillbilly. Gotta love 6speedonline!

I know you are a little kid, or a really immature big kid, whatever, my bad for picking on the village idiot.
I'm the moron that schooled you on NOS little boy. Personally I would have more respect for someone who owned a 924 and paid for it himself than I do for some idiot kid with a digicam taking pics of his daddy's cars. But thats just me.
A couple of questions, did you get your $5 back from Joe or did you just write it off as an operating loss?
Also, I see the guys on bimmerforums are generally in agreement that you are a complete idiot for even thinking NOS was FI, even after I pointed it out to you.
Am also curious as to why you failed to post pics of your "family's" cars on EFI unlimited and the fact that you say you have access to the stable which clearly indicates that you do not own any of the cars.
Any more good stories to share?
