2015 V8 Vantage GT
Regardless, I would hope Aston would be sympathetic to people in this situation. This is like buying a shirt the day before a big sale -- stores will usually extend the discount to your purchase in that situation if you complain.
You're the guy who had ordered the S? If so, you could contact Aston. Before that, however, you should figure out what the cost of the GT would be if you equipped it exactly like the S you've ordered. The delta may not be as great as you expect.

Stuart, how would you go about choosing color options that don't show up in the online ordering form? When I looked at it with my dealer, there was no way to choose outside the 5 colors listed.
Also, have you figured out why Satellite Radio is listed as standard but also part of the GT. Technology Pack? My sales manager has posted this question to Aston but, so far, has not been given an explanation.

Worst case scenario, you could surrender the deposit, which I assume is less than $20k, and order the GT. I understand that this wouldn't be easy to do though.
But, I may be wrong (first time...)
I would not give up. This is a crappy position to be in. Maybe go above the local dealer and speak directly to Aston?

If it is the car I'm thinking of I would not cancel that order. Looking at the options list, if you built a V8VGT out with the same options that are available on the GT, it would come out several thousand dollars higher than the purchase price on your 'S'.
And that's not taking into account the options that aren't available on the GT like Carbon Black Package, if you added those in, even without a surcharge to do that, then we're talking about an MSRP of nearly 20K more for the similarly optioned GT!
I could be wrong, I'm just guessing that I know which car yours is but if I am right then you're getting a crazy deal!

There is NO Carbon Black package that is offered for a Vantage V8S as an option. My attempt was to build a car that is as close as possible to "blacked" out. The only way to get a Carbon Black V8S would be to go through the Q program, which is grossly overpriced for what you're getting.
