If anyone is interested in a V8VGT, please email me and I would be happy to work up a price for you based on your specs. Have done a couple for customers already.
FWIW, I think you'll be surprised what we can get you for a trade-in. We just offered $59K on a 2007 Manual Coupe with 6,000 miles, which is pretty darn close to retail. If you want to get into one of the new cars let me know and we will make it work for you

That's the point, they already are/have been heavily discounted. I just specced a 2015 GT today, exactly the same as a V8VS (for a client) and the price came out the same. The more I crunch the numbers, the more I'm convinced that the actual selling prices are not going to be much different.
Last I checked there was no Luxury tax. Unless some states have it. Since NJ doesn't have it, and NJ has almost every tax possible, I wouldn't think any state would have it.
The V12 is a completely different car and I believe the depreciation or desire is not related to the V8V.
No where have I read that MB is supplying any parts, no one knows exactly what this partnership means. If you look at the carefully chosen wording in these articles and video (below)....you will see this as well.
Here the Aston exec even corrects the statement made by the Bloomberg host. "Technically partnership, not necessarily a supply deal". I interrupt this as MB engineers working with Aston engineers and Aston being able to access MB R&D...

They may also get electrical infrastructure, but I have not seen that specifically announced.
What I don't understand are the number of 'V8V Base' cars which are selling for the same price as 'V8Vs' models...
V8 Vantages are already, in some cases, less than DB7 Vantages (Volantes). I expect the price overlap to continue to the point where early V8 coupes are less than pristine late V12 volantes on a regular basis. It is all about numbers. 4000 DB7 Vantages vs a bazillion V8 Vantages.
A couple of people asked me for info on Paint Colours, and since there's been some discussion on the topic, thought some info might be useful.
DRPC – Paint Contemporary – 1595.00
MTOP – Paint Other Manufacturer’s Special Colour – 6380.00
ASPC – Paint Special AML Colour – 5380.00
NSPC – Paint Previous AML Colour – 3785.00
NNPC – Paint Other Manufacturer’s Colour – 4545.00
MTSP – Paint Match to Sample – 12,115.00
This configurator is for the DB9 – but it shows you what the ‘Contemporary’ range includes as well as ‘Special’. For example, you could go Quantum Silver as a ‘Contemporary’ selection and that’s only $1595 additional, which is pretty reasonable. My understanding was that part of the reason for limiting colours was to help improve delivery times but if you don't like the GT Colour range you can order outside of it.

This is a cool option. I would love to have an Aston in Ferrari's or Lamborghini's medium gray.
