V12VS Video

Xcar in the UK released a video about the V12VS. The videography is pretty cool.

I think that V12VS must have a heater hose leak, there seems to be a lot of smoke/steam in that video.

Sounds great no doubt but not pairing a dual clutch transmission (aka PDK which is the best I have ever driven), is a shame. Because at the end of the day you will drive this car like most cars on pedestrian streets 80% of the time regardless of what switchback roads he is referring to.

I have to personally disagree with going with a DCT.
I realize a DCT technically has more finesse, but that is not what the V12 is about. The V12VS is raw and aggressive, and the SCT keeps the visceral nature of its purpose.
The analogy is that of my Scud - fastest SCT designed for a street car. It is raw, aggressive, and just thrilling fun. I like to feel the gear changes. This is why I am keeping the 16M and not trading it for a 458. The F1 Superfast2 gearbox is simply "Formula 1" phenomenal.

I realize all cars are now going to DCT's, but to me personally they are boring. Sure they are fast, but don't you want to "feel" the car a bit?
Emotion is evoked in the thrill of the ride....

I have been thinking the same thing for some time. The DCT in the McLaren fits the purpose and profile of the car. A V12VS with that gigantic engine is a bit more old school s a bit of drama fits the car.

I'll be the first to admit that the 12C and now the 650S are technically way ahead of its time. This has been discussed ad nauseum on the fchat forum. It'll beat the 458 in most all areas, the McLaren is built so well. The McLaren will make any novice driver look good.
But the raw cars are those you have to work at and then reward you.
