More odd electrical problems

I have been having problems with the window drop in the cold. Put silicone lube on the rubber and the windows work much better without the horrible squeal they had before, but no luck helping with the windows dropping when opening the door if its below 55 degrees. I will live with it.

I tried to drop the roof last weekend for a good interior cleaning, first time in about 3 weeks. It disconnected from the front, opening about 3 inches, then started beeping roof paused even though I held the button. It would not move in any direction nor did it make a noise. Tried turning the car off and on multiple times. No luck so I eventually ended up closing it manually. Turned the car off, back on, then the top worked normally and has continued to work. However, now anytime I make a sharp turn at speed with the top down, even though it has been down and had the roof movement complete message, it beeps and starts flashing roof movement paused? I have to stop, lift it until the cover rises and then drop it back down for it to stop. As soon as I make a hard turn it will start again. I f I drive slow and mild it doesn't do this.

Any thoughts? A position sensor fault maybe?

Another interesting development is that my radio is now possessed. I had all the radio stations programmed. I wanted to change one, so I held the button until it read programmed. However, when I left the station and tried to come back it gave me the program of the next button, not the station I put in or the station before. Sometimes though it will give me the station I programmed but will also change the other buttons to that station even though I never changed their programs? I now never know what is going to pop up on any button and it can vary from just pressing the same button twice. Thought?

Maybe the whole car needs a reset.

Not sure, bought the care this past summer. Probably from 2006 would be my guess.

Weak batteries cause a lot of odd behaviour with these cars. If it's the battery from the factory, chances are it's well past it's prime.

I should probably also mention, my gas door had not been opening with the button under the dash. Finally dove into the rear to figure out the issue. When I pulled the carpet out noticed 2 problems, 1 the actuator was not connected to the door release cable, 2 the actuator was not plugged in to a power source. Found the power lying down in the well and plugged it in, connected the actuator to the cable, now it works as it should. Interestingly it was after I did this that these new problems have occurred. Is there possibly a connection or just coincidence?

Why would those not be connected? That raises a lot more questions about the condition of your car...

I agree. The plastic connector I understand as it likely pulled out during repeated manual hood latch releases. The electrical connector is more puzzling which is why I'm curious if anyone has heard of issues with this that would get one to disconnect it?

Just to get a better understanding, when your driving around, the top is closed meaning latched to the header rail correct?..not closed meaning stored away under the tonneau cover? (May sound stupid to ask but I get them all....)

When the top is latched closed to the header rail, there is a hall effect sensor that sees the latched locked and secured, when this sensor faults it will see the latch open indicating the top is still open(when in fact its actually closed and latched securely)

I can only assume with out testing that it's the hall effect sensor acting up when the top flex's..With the dealer AMDS I can road test the car while viewing the sensor to see it faults, or any others in the convert roof system for that matter.

The radio issue, I have seen it once...I had to replace the complete radio, was under warranty at the time..Not saying this is the issue, but just a heads up

No, its the other way. I get the roof movement paused when I'm driving with the top stowed away in the back. I have figured out that if I put the top down then turn the car off and on 2 times it will not give me this problem anymore. Going to try the battery change next.
