here is the adapter plate I had slotted to fit:

So my passenger seat is now stuck in place with a rounded hex bolt where it attaches to the adapter plate. They did not send me a second riser with a bolt for the bottom of the seatbelt, I missed it, and installed the seat and in the process rounded one of the bolts. Extremely disappointed as I don’t see a way to get the seat out.

Did you notice that the front and rear mounting holes in the seat are not in the same plane i.e the rear mounting holes are tapered in relative to the front. Measured across the seat the two front mounting holes are further apart than at the rear. The seat frame they sent does not compensate for this. I wondered why the rear bolts did not cinch down evenly against the frame at the rear. It all became very clear when we went to bolt it in.

Pretty sure you can purchase an easy out type of tool that will get that bolt out of there for you. We have several different types.

I didn’t notice this but also didn’t have any issues with the rear mounting flat. I’m wondering if the difference may be that I am using the ultra low side mounts and different risers? I will check out the drivers seat I have yet to install as am waiting for the lower belt risers to be sent.

Appreciate it Cliff and I am aware of these. What I failed to mention was that with my ultra low side mounts the bolt in the picture above that is rounded is only 2.5” below the seat. There was not enough room to get my standard ratchet in there with the 5mm bit when I was installing the seat. I had to switch to a very long and low breaker bar to get it on (also how I rounded it).

I am very open to any ideas as I’m stuck.

The seat cannot slide enough to gain access?

I had good luck with using a Torx key in a runded Hex...Important is to beat it into the old Hex (which requires acess...)

Correct. Seat is slid all the way back against the rear shelf and the bolt is covered. Would need the seat to go back an additional 3”+ to allow access.

Agreed! Best solution I was able to come up with yesterday was to use a long anti slip hex that is supposed to grip rounded bolts with a 5mm socket attached and an extension bar on the other need of the socket for leverage. This was the lowest possible solution.

Given the minimal distance between the top of the hex key and the seat I could barely tap it in with a low profile wrench. There’s no way to beat down a Torx or hex one size up.

Unfortunately after tapping in the Hex and pushing down with all of my might as I turned, it just spun freely in the bolt.

Can't you remove the seat including the subframe(s)?
It looks somewhat tight to reach the (outside hex) bolts.
Maybe a good idea to modify the sliders such that you can reach the bolts in the future (once you solved the rounded bolt issue).

Unfortunately I cannot. The bolts that attach the adapter plate to the OEM mounting points are partially covered in front and completely covered in the rear.
Adjusting the front of the sliders would fix this moving forward but the rears would would need over an inch taken off...

I then looked to try and remove the seat from the side mounts so that I could drill out the bolt but one bolt on the side of the seat is blocked by the riser that the buckle is attached to.

You cant't un-bolt the adapter plate from the chassis and lift the whole thing out?
