Left blinker
Left blinker
Problem #2 of ?? 07 V8V. Got Bulb Failure Left Turn Indicator. It is intermediate so I can’t see if anything is actually out. By the time I can get out for the fast blink, it’s gone. First is there a way to see speed when this error appears (message takes up screen)? Second any troubleshooting that comes to mind?

I've got the same problem and have not be able to determine if it is a really a light out or something else. There is a "Read" button on the right side above the A/C controls that will clear the error from the display.
Lots of posts on this..
This is an ongoing issue for us older V8Vs.. There is a small circuit board in the headlights that controls the LED strips... you can get a white light or yellow light or both failure. It starts intermittent... then full off. No way to get past the bulb failure notice.. just turn it off each time.
I presently have just the turn signal failure. No known replacement board on the market... people have had mixed results trouble shooting them. I bought a junk headlight on ebay and plan to salvage the board.
Taking out the entire headlight is lots of fun.. cracking it open... attempting repair.. and then reassembly... figure 5hrs first time.

That sounds amazingly fun... lol... If it is a single layer circuit board I am not too scared for soldering on components. Makes me miss my Cayman a little since taking out head light was like 45 seconds. I really appreciate the information.
Yes, the strip that runs along the inside of the headlamp housing. As the other guy said if you are handy you can open up and repair the board.

Look at this post. It will give you a good idea of the issues most have faced and options to resolve. There are also some other posts that mention this problem as well as others can happen with a weak battery. So suggest you always keep that in the back of your mind when dealing with electrical issues on these cars. Won't always be the problem, but might be in some instances.

As a general note I don't believe Aston EVER intended the owners to work on these cars. Wait till you change the battery! Great fun also.. Not 5hrs, but definitely not 5min.
It is all worth it however... these cars are very reliable for what they are... and great to own. No one would believe my 06 (with 80k miles) ... is a 14+yr old car. It just looks too damn good!
RolexDaytona1,
I totally agree on them not planning on us working on them. But I am cheap so, I will take a crack at most anything to keep from paying someone else to do work for me. WIth left blinker problem, I am contemplating digging down to the battery (watched video already) to see its age. Secretly hoping it is old and that is the problem. Not real hopeful but a guy can dream.
Thanks

I too try to DIY as much as I can... re-doing the door struts was as close to a ship in a bottle as I want to get. If you do buy a new battery... verify it hasn't been sitting on the shelf too long.. You can buy non OEM makes that are same spec outside the dealer. I bought one that died a month later because it had been sitting too long... and I had to do the battery change twice... July then Aug in FL. You may want to consider some of the smaller / lighter battery options ... check with RedPants.lol.
Have Fun!
