Serpentine belt, tensioner and pulleys for DB9

Hi,

FWIW, I cross matched the serpentine belt, tensioner and pulleys for my 2006 DB9. Got all of them from Amazon for about $100.00 US. You can get cheaper but these are either OEM or OE.

Dayco 89006 Tensioner & Idler Pulley (Need two)
Gates 38250 Belt Tensioner

I am looking forward to putting the engine back in the K-Frame. The belts go on almost last!

I have 2009 DB9 so Gates 38250 Belt Tensioner, is different, rest loss the same.
I would like to learn form you how you find compatible parts.

No secrets, but in the main, AM uses a global supply chain, which was heavily anchored in Ford, and thus parts used by other Ford products. Most of the time the Ford part numbers are on the parts. In the case of the tensioner/belts these are standard parts with the length / width / diameter of the idlers easily determined. At that point I just go for the highest quality OE/OEM part available (staying away from low end parts). Gates and Delco make good stuff...

For the internals of the V-12, I purchased OE from either Rockauto or Partsgeek by buying for a 2005 V-6 3.0L Ford Escape. Just needed 2X the quantity...

YMMV,
Larry
