2020 vantage Break in behavior

Just leased one of these badboys. Im impressed with the car more each time I drive it. Fun and extremely capable
For those that have one, question about power delivery. Im still during break in and sometimes under more aggressive accelerator pedal application the power delivery feels flat, like its pulling boost. Also happens on my friend’s vantage (leased one on same day). No boost leaks no cel no TC lights (happens with TC in sport mode as well. 95% of the time this doesnt happen

curious if anyone else experienced this and if its a function of break-in period calibration (protecting the engine) or if this is an Aston thing...
thanks

When I drove the new Vantage vs my V12S, I found it irritating - I could not place why, just did. Thought the power delivery on my V12S was much better and the Sportshift more able to control gear changes (the new Vantage seemed to hand onto a gear too long - even in different driving modes). Was far more comfortable though.

Update. The cutting power completely disappeared at 501 miles on odo last week.!!!
Definitely programmed in some nannies up to 500 miles. Will report back after 900 miles (listed explicitly in manual as a break in number despite engine being noted as “hot tested”).

Glad I found this thread. Saw your other post hence decided to search. Have a 2020 for an extended test. Really planning to lease one. But it does feel flat. Right now around 100 miles.

It cuts boost first 500 miles randomly. After that u can do launch mode with tc off and do a rolling burnout to 60, lmao

seriously, its a fast car. At least as fast as the 992S on a roll, except much more hooligan

Thanks. I wonder if I will have a chance to get it to 500miles. Will the exhaust get louder in S+ and Track mode? I have a AMG GT R for comparison btw. And yes have driven 992S extensively as well.

Also, which part of the manual mentions no break in period and the 900-mile? I can't seem to find it.

exhaust is louder in s+ and track but this is from day 1. Manual states engine is hot tested and basically dont lug it in “Driving 5.2”

yeah right... lol
