VAP Spring DIY/Spacers

Hey 6speed, I am looking to lower a 2010 V8 Vantage I just picked up for my dad and add to spacers. There seems to be a ton of info that is quite old on which spacers to use but many websites do not carry them anymore. Can someone point me to which spacers to buy as well as where I can find a DIY for the VAP lowering springs?

Stuart's spring-sets are great indeed for your Vantage. In combination with Spacers with longer studs (do not use adaptors, I had them but never felt comfortable with them) you will get a great stance as well. I use 13mm in the front and 18mm in the rear on each wheel; that is for a DB9 but I went for this after a thread on Pistonheads which showed this for both Vantage and DB9 (can't find it anymore). From memory, I bought a 5 x 114.3 set from Adaptec. The longer studs do mean you will have to take the wheelbearings out to drive the old studs out..

Thank you both, I search for that video for a month without finding it. I really appreciate you pointing it out.

I was hoping to not need to press the old studs out, is that the only way?

H&R makes 11mm spacers which come with special lugnuts with more threads. If you go with this approach you don't need to modify the existing studs. I have the VAP springs plus 11mm H&R spacers on all 4 corners.
If you go any larger than 11mm you will most likely have to modify the existing studs.

H&R makes 23 mm spaces for Vantge with the studs built into the spacers, they bolt onto the exiting studs. I have 11mm front and 23mm back on my v12 Vantage.

Does anyone have the part numbers for the 11s and 23s?

Also, thanks for the help everyone!

I got my set from Wheel Enhancement. They can also get blackened lug nuts.

Just FYI, if you go with the 23mm you may have to cut the factory studs. In most stock wheels, the pockets are not deep enough and the factory studs wont fit. On the v8’s i believe the oem sport pack wheels are the only ones with pockets deep enough. I know for a fact that the standard vantage s wheels wont work, i found out the hard way.

Yes, you are right..I was fortunate that my factory wheels had the deep pockets so it was not an issue for me. Good point need to check your rims to confirm they will work.
