Hello. I have not been able to clear P1000 to get the car smogged. I did clear misfire codes from 4 and 7 by moving the coils to 3 and 6 to determine if they were bad. They have not thrown codes since the last clear (72 km) I think that clearing the codes also resets P1000 to start over again? Does anyone know if these are the monitors that need to be completed for the code to go away? The reader and software are good, only that there is very little info or support on it.
Thanks

Reason: Added code to title for future search reference.
Saved the file from an earlier post this year with the thought it might come in handy, but I don't remember who initially posted it.
Perhaps the information will help with solving your problem?
Thanks for this, most helpful. I am driving today about 100 miles and will be monitoring the scanner. Hopefully I can meet the criteria of each monitor. The most challenging is “steady throttle”. With fuse 22 off and air filter boxes removed, the melody of the V8 is intoxicating!!!
I have tried and tried to get the Catalyst monitor to reset and simply does not. I am following both the V8V and the Ford procedures below. Do you know how hard it is to keep 1130 RPM for 60 seconds?? What were they thinking of!! Anyway, I am going to try again later today. Its not easy to find a road to do all this jumping through hoops either. Any other suggestions are welcome.
Finally P1000 cleared and ready for smog. All it took was around 400 miles. Sheesh. It cleared on the last drive mostly freeway at normal speeds 40 miles each way.

Glad to hear you're good to go! Sounds like you might need to drive it more often? Enjoy!

This and an OBD reader that will tell you if the monitors are clear. Without this there would be a record of “not ready” in the smog history which in my mind is not the best as it shows that there was something (even minor) going on. These readers are a real bargain to get the info and be able to drill down into trouble codes, and should be in every car enthusiast toolbox.
