After Market Warranty Question
I opt'd out of the ASE warranty for the following reasons after reading the terms:
Juan, the GM at Morries Aston Martin said the 3rd party insurers often supply the replacement parts that could come from a junk yard - looking at the contract, it actually states that they have the right to supply the parts which means the Aston Dealer will not do the repairs using used parts (Morries won't install parts not purchased through them because if things go wrong they do not want the complaints).
The next term - and this is the big one - they do not warranty cars with any suspension or exhaust modifications - and I have exhaust mods, which leaves them an out - both you and I have Quicksilver, on top of that I have Secondary CAT deletes.

Ok now I'm a bit concerned that this might be a scam........I talked to the rep and he said the rider was in place then said he was emailing me all the info. That was hours ago, nothing. I clicked on the email to send to the rep who I originally talked to and asked to get a copy of the contract and the rider for the exhaust. When I sent the email I immediately got an auto response that the email address couldn't be found. Now when I try to go to the ASE Warranty website it says that it can't find anything......WTF!
I called ASE and got an answering service who didn't even know what their hours are.
Does anyone have any information on this company. I checked my bank statement and the $4k is only pending so I think I can stop it.......
Prefurbia, it looks like you did some research and found good things.........thoughts?

Well I just talked to them......we'll see. They are upgrading their website, which is why it's not functional right now, at least that's what he's telling me. It all sounds fishy but I've talked to my bank and I can't do anything to dispute the charge anyway until it posts, so I still have some time to figure this out. I told the guy flat out I was calling to cancel and that I thought this might be a scam. More to come.......
Nothing you have said makes this sound like a scam. Just normal standard operating procedure for a third party warranty. You have to search long and far to find a good review. I think most people end up unhappy and I don’t see why an Aston owner should be any different.
On the other hand, I’ve seen some flaky complaints about things that obviously aren’t covered, like a clutch, LOL.
Until Aston, I’ve always stayed away from 3rd party and been happy with company sponsored CPO type plans… well that is until Aston, where I think there Aston sponsored plan is pretty much junk too.
I think your best bet is find a decent indie although I’ll admit I have nobody in my area and I see Aston’s all the time.

I did find a good local ASE certified Aston Martin mechanic. I'm going to test the system because the guy I just talked to said they are covering up to $250 for regular service, which I'm about to do since I just bought the car. If they cut me a check then I'll know.....
Their website it back up. It's aseprotection.com
I cancelled the warranty. Not necessarily because I thought they were shady (more on that in a second) but because I decided I would just bank the $ and keep a fund separate in case things come up. Now, following up on the shady part.........I called back and told them I was tuning the car, on top of all the mods that are already on the car. They didn't blink, they just said that it would be covered under a generic "contract rider" stating that modifications on the car did not void the warranty. They didn't ask me what type or how aggressive the tune was going to be, they just said they'd cover it. It was definitely getting into the "it's too good to be true" territory......anyhow, I'm sure they're legit, but I'm gonna just do what I want with the car and pay for repairs myself if they come up.
Good morning everyone, I'm new to the forum. I'm looking at purchasing a 2006 Vantage and have been trying to get quotes for after market warranties with no luck. I usually purchase new cars with warranties, this will be my first Aston Martin and I'm not sure what the cost will be.
The car has 52,000 miles and is in exceptional condition. I've test driven the car, gone over every inch of it and am confident it's been extremely well taken care of (exotic dealer car selling the car on consignment). The car has a new V12 clutch, lightweight flywheel, new brakes and brake pads, and other mods that apparently take care of known issues with the Vantage. I just want the piece of mind that comes with a warranty.
If anyone has information on about what a warranty would cost, both full coverage as well as just engine please chime in. It would be much appreciated.

I almost went with ASE, but reading the 'fine print' its quite clear any exhaust or wheel mods would void the warranty - and mine has both. The sales rep wrote a short few word 'exception' to assure me that would not apply to my car (seriously - 4 total words), which I thought would not be enough to assure that my mods would not be an issue. I asked for better language more specific to the clauses, or cancel my request (within the 30 day cancel period). They kept my $100 deposit. Had I not had these mods I probably would have gone for it, but my quote was 5 years at $5K.
