Hello everyone. I’m a long time lurker first time poster. Finally got my first Aston. The car is perfect except for one little thing. Every time I turn on the car, the dash shows an overhead interior image with the back seats highlighted in red. I understand it’s a seat belt warning for passengers in the back, but there is no one in the back. Nothing. Is this normal?
First and foremost, welcome to the forum and congratulations on your DB11.
I am sure the experts will chime in soon, especially Advantage Dean who is our moderator and Aston expert having actually worked at the Gaydon factory.
In the meantime, I’ll take a guess but may be totally wrong. I remember a review of the DBS and the reviewer commented that the warning came on at startup for you to check the backseats. I’m not sure what you are actually checking, but I remember he thought it was annoying as well.
Does the DB11 manual say anything about this caution / warning indication?
We would love to see a few pictures of your DB11 as well!

Connect both rear seat belts and then go for a short drive. Then disconnect both rear seat belts and cycle the ignition. Let me know if that clears the error.
