V8 Vantage Water Pump

For those interested or curious, I had a water pump leak and went ahead with a replacement of the ACDelco 252-800, which is supposed to be in improvement of the Ford/Jaguar part in our cars. Also $900 less than what the dealer is charging. This has a metal impeller as well as improved water pump gasket. I can keep everyone updated whether I recommend this fix or to stick with OEM. So far the garage doing the job said the car runs well and no leaks.

I have a 2007 4.3, highly recommend stocking up before the parts shoot up.

And I will let them know as well, I think the water pump is a new entry.

Pretty common water pump that is made by various manufactures. The AC Delco listed is probably one of the better ones, based on the specs I can find. Note that the ACDelco is for the 4.3L V8 engine's, as it is a one-piece design. The one-piece design is better (in my opinion) as it is one less area to potentially leak.

To list a few other ones below for cross-reference:
GATES 43503
BECK/ARNLEY 1312245
MOTORCRAFT PW448 (metal gasket that locks into place around the impeller.)

The 4.7L pumps have a additional tube that may be able to be transferred to the others I listed above as they are of a two-piece design. I added a photo below to show.
