Ever since I saw it, I wanted one. But during my search I came across a beautiful V8 Vantage manual and bit on it. Today I came across the Rapide and placed a bid on it, and to my surprise I got it! It has a bit of high miles at 78K but I plan to use it as a semi-daily so I will be racking some more on it. I am not really worried about value as much as keeping it running in top shape. I really never expected to own an AM, and now own two! Go figure. I should be picking it up next week and will start sorting it out, but it seems to be in pretty good condition. Some pics below.

 

So you're the one who got it. I was going to bid on it today and replace my XJL but missed my chance. You picked up that car for an excellent price. Enjoy it.

 

Thanks! Yeah, wasn’t expecting it to go for so low. I’m pretty excited about it. I will probably keep it stock, but I said the same for the V8V but couldn’t help myself with wheels, coil overs, carbon lip, clear tails, 200 cell cats, tune, etc. At this point I’m probably only looking at a CarPlay upgrade.

 

I would keep it stock except for the valve control unless you want a different exhaust. She'll cost you enough just to keep her as is. That car hammered for nothing. Well done.

Rapides are beautiful cars. Although I do not have a need for a back seat, I can appreciate those who do. I see this as a beautiful example! Glad you connected with it and hopeful you'll document your journey with it here!
