car still idles rich.

on-off idle transitions are still rough sometimes.

why did you go with the setup instead of the integrated engineering design that submerges the two bosch 044 and has a higher tank capacity?

also, how do you deal with the high amount of fuel that needs to be returned at idle and low/no boost driving? Why not put a hobbs switch to turn the other one on on 10+ PSI or something like that?

The FPR has no problem handling the fuel flow. Why add one more item to fail? And if it fails it will be quite costly..

that is just a ton of fuel to be moving at idle...won't it likely cause a problem sooner or later? Hobbs switches looks pretty basic to me and seem to have been used in dual pump setups for a long time.

it will also keep the noise of the pumps down a lot

i am still trying to figure out why the $640 radium is better than the $300 integrated engineering model, which is bigger and submerges most of the pump for less noise.

when you submerge the pumps heat up fuel, fuel heats up pumps... they get noisy etc. from research i did two external pumps and a properly set up surge tank work best. i can not hear my pumps running with the trunk closed

our completely redone return (from each rail separately) setup has no problem returning the fuel at idle. we have played with the pressure on the FPR and we can bring it down quiet a bit from stock, if return wasnt enough we wouldnt be able to do that...

as long as the return line is not overwhelmed you don't need a hobbs switch on the other pump.

as far as surge tanks go i felt that the radium piece was a higher quality part so i went for that. the 300$ extra was a nominal premium when building a $3k fuel system. not to mention that with IE the price increases by 80$ if you plan on using alcohol fuels such as E85 so the price difference gets even smaller. you can use whatever surge tank you want or do dual in tank pumps like some ppl here.

could this be done without dropping the engine? I really don't want to do that (or pay for that lol)

does it matter if you go horizontal or vertical?

its could but its a lot of work and i think having angine out would make this alot easier.
