Seat Memory Stopped Working

Haven't done anything that should have impacted this. I can no longer save seat settings or retrieve them using the seating memory buttons. The seat adjustments do operate normally.

Any suggestions?

Thanks.

Recalibrate them in the same way you'd do the windows, Move the drivers seat max forward and hold the button in for about 5 seconds. repeat this all the way backwards, then the same with the backrest. You'll find they remember their settings again now, and your memory will work again.
EDIT: Do the same with the steering column.

Interesting, thanks. I'll give this a try as well as my seat memory doesn't

I won't hold out many hopes though as I did a full scan on my car yesterday:

01903 - Seat Tilt Adjustment Motor (V231)
005 - No or Incorrect Basic Setting / Adaptation

No idea what that means

Now I know what it means

With a borrowed copy of VCDS cycled through all the activations and now everything appears to work as it should

I *think* you have to do it on all of them. But certainly it wasn't going all the way forward on command, so I had to manually intervene as well.

Seem to be having the same problem with the seat memory. How exactly did you fix it?

I used VCDS to run through the sequential output operations. I think you can do it manually as well: Move the seat to the full extent of all its adjustment. So all the way forward, back up, down, etc etc.

Let us know if that works?

Noticed the memory seat on the driver's side did not work. Manually recalibrated like you mentioned (before digging VCDS out) and it worked straight away! All the previous presents were saved so didn't have to re-do them. Thanks @AJ1 !
