The results are pretty clear, the E55 is faster than the C63 and this is the same DCT M3 which pulled the C63. The E55 gets its initial lead at the start and it is maintained up top where the DCT M3 really shines.

Anyway, we have a good group meeting up on November 1st, at California Speedway and I think we will have the answers of how the DCT M3 stacks up to the competition, namely the C63.

I think you M3 guys have ego problems, always have something to prove. MNL never bragged about his car as being faster, it was an inside joke between him and his RL friend Troll (who has an M3).

 

I have to agree with murtaza on this one.. A c63 will run away from an m3 in a straight line, and we all know what an e55 will do to a c63.

 

I think you missed the majority of his posts. He claimed his car is much faster, he put a sticker on his car saying "M3this" and in his signature he wrote "M3's in the rearview mirror, priceless." A shame he wrote all that and his many posts but he was not willing to back up the claims.

I would have loved for him to meet us out at the track... but he won't. Considering he is in my area that would be why I asked him specifically to meet up, but who cares, a bunch of MB and BMW guys are meeting up at the track and we will post the results and have some good, clean fun.

 

Sorry, you don't know your cars and please specify which M3 trim you are referring to.

Just to make it plain, I believe a C63 is faster than a manual M3, sedan, coupe, or cab, and that it is basically a drivers race between the DCT coupe and the C63.

Actually, I haven't seen you yet, but I have been on the lookout. A couple of my friends have seen you around though, commenting on how good the turbo looks. I'm sure I will run into you sometime, I really want to see how the black 19" p40's look in person.

 

its pretty common knowledge that all those particular videos are very biased and should be taken with a grain of salt most of the time. let me ask you, was that you driving? or was it your car? if the answer is no, then you are merely just regurgitating information you heard or saw elsewhere. I am not trying to break *****. lets just put things into perspective. you don't know if the e55 and m3 were hot lapping. and they showed the slowest run out of who knows how many runs? so many other variables in racing. i have seen some weird things happen. i am just saying dont be so narrow minded. look at the big picture.

according to you i dont know cars, and you are the grand wizard of cars? dare i say an e92 m3 will lose to a c63 in a drag race. why on earth would a car with more displacement, more hp, and more tq win??

See, it is pretty common knowledge that those with bias see these videos with bias. No, I was not driving the car. But you know what? The guy driving the C63 admitted that he was simply beat and the DCT M3 was the faster car. Oh, I know, he was brainwashed, right?

Thats right, so many variables when racing, which I am wondering why a C63 which weighs more than an M3, shifts slower, and weighs 300 more pounds than a DCT, can "run away" from an M3. To run away as you describe you would need, what, at least a 60-70 hp wheel advantage?

Grand Wizard? No, isn't that a guy in the KKK? Why on earth would a car with faster shifts, similar power, and less weight win?

That is right, the M3 is modded. BMW refers to their dual clutch system as DCT, not DKG, maybe read the title of the thread? You are saying give an M3 an aftermarket muffler and it trounces the C63?

If you look at the runs, you can see that the E55 instantly jumps away from the M3 while the C63 runs neck to neck with it for a large portion of the run.

Take from it what you will, I think both the C63 and M3 are great cars but I will personally put my money on the C63 in straight line for sure.
