I saw it a NAIAS. Very cool car and should be extremely fun.

Just two more pics from the 24 and I was impressed the fenders are super beefy and the thing just looks angry.

I like that its a turbo, but I dislike that its a turbo.

Its going to have a quiet engine and the HP/rev band will be a bit off.
Seems to 'docile' and 'soft' for an "M" car.

Crawled around the car at the Chicago Auto Show. Nice and tidy if you squint but it certainly has big, comic-book proportions. Wheel blisters are very nice. The seats are terrific, very light clutch, nice small steering wheel, excellent short-shifter.

It certainly appears that BMW has spent their money on drivetrain however because the interior is rubbish. The plastics are rental-car grade and the alcantara gauge-pod cover looks like a last-minute afterthought like a wart on the dash.

I imagine the car will be a performance beast and they will sell every one. For $50k, for what I look at every day when I'm not thrashing it, I expect better.
