Warning to All 996TT and GT2 owners
Im sorry guys but this thread is useless... it should be moved...
how many times has some newbie come on and said that he can whip a tts ***...
I can start a thread showing my evo8 kicking a tts ***... but what is the point?
If anything I would compare a evo8 vs a m3.... but not on this TURBO forum...
just my opinion.
markski
ps. it was a free plug for company XXX producing XXX HP on a P car forum... and here we are 15 pages later still bench racing.
I think that's sad.

Bad point, add 300HP to the CSL and there you have it again... I bet you cant touch the Loaded SC'd CSL even if you have 200hp more.

Bench racing sucks, put that thing on the track. It's bad enough all the bench racing before the new cars come out etc etc, but now people are bench racing with cars they dont have. Not to mention skils they dont have either.

Trying to create a race between the two?
Lets not begin on the subject of Markski's massive horsepower Evo.

Imagine an M3 takin' the Evo out, yip! he will have you for breakie Marko.
It's not about who has bigger ***** but rather being respectful to members and paid sponsors...

While I don't have a torque graph, I can tell you from comparison to previous cars that I out-torque you by 100 ft/lb across the rev range. That will be a factor as well.
I will offer this. 8000 RPM redline is a real advantage. Depending on gearing you may still be in 1st whle I'm in second, etc...
I love cars. I don't care what kind. I'm just a car guy, not really a diehard Porsche guy. Either way, if we can meet up it would be great fun. I don't really care who wins. It's the competition that's fun.
If you can make it to LACR sometime, I would love to meet you there. I'll even let you drive if you want to swap cars poviding you don't power shift. I baby this car a lot more than I did my M3. That thing took a beating and still kept ticking...
live in Topanga cnyn right next to wodland hills. maybe we'll just meet up at the starbucks? I would love to take a look at your car.

I loved the power curve my car had, my shift points would end up at 6500 in the next gear so i would always be making good power and it wouldnt let up until 8000rpm. TQ is nice, i never had much of it, maybe about 450rwtq (although nice and flat through redline) with the nitrous on. The TQ falls off pretty hard on the TT's up top (where the shifts are).
My car has been gone for about 2 months and will still be gone for probably another 2. After that we can definitely hang out.

Is your car a CSL????? If not refer to one spot up and 32 seconds later on the chart and see what your time would be compared to a GT2 or GT3.

My car has been on the track several times, im hardly a bench racer. Ill be open to race all Porsches in LA soon. Yes im down to race VRAlexander, Craig etc.. all for fun..
You really shouldnt be talking though, i dont see a GT2/GT3 in your stable.
Are people forgetting that these modified turbo's, even stock turbo's, GT2's run even HARDER on the highway then they do at the drag strip? Yet these turbos and GT2's have dipped into number's that M3 owners dream of?

Oh ya, and M3's are best for the drag track. Anyone can get into whatever number's they want by spending money. Oh well, this just wont end...
Looks like you do alot of dreaming at the track dont ya?

Fact remains, Porsche's suck at the dragstrip and ok, so do M3's, but Porsche turbos are also highway animals, so what says that a 600 RWHP M3 will automatically pull a 600 RWHP GT2 on the highway, nothing!

BTW i actually pulled a better time around limerock in a bone stock M3 then my stock Turbo, so i never said they werent good cars!

What says, nothing says... I didnt say once car would beat the other, it can depend alot on weight and gearing. It should be a good race if the power is equal.
People are shooting down the M3 way too hard, just b/c their Porsche costs more. Just like why they shoot down the Z06 and other various cars. If someone posted this on E46, everyone would have been congratulating Porsche, but not here. Everyone gets extremely defensive, when i was merely stating the facts.

I ran a very respectable time in a bone stock M3, 3rd best of the day when i went in May out of 30+ cars (Viper's, aston race cars and so on)
The M3 is HIGHLY capable, do not ever say i put the M3 down for w/e reason, you know i love that car so much, its just ridiculous to even think. I would just never go FI on it again, not for my little issues just that it wasnt as enjoyable, i love to drive FAST and all out, have throttle semi planted and blipping through and out of turns, and the M3 had no damm traction it sucked!
Im a car guy, point blank. I LOVE my Porsche's, love my BMW's, love my M3's and love lot's of cars, i think we all do.
BTW guys! whoever is gonna give him a run for his money, just make sure he disconnects that strange gas bottle, I think it's called "NOS"
mmmmm! never heard of that before, how does that work in your car, lol

I bet you like a smooth curve, looks like it jumps up a bit around 4.5k
