I'll bet YOU that me in MY modded 996 will beat YOU around a roadcourse in your M3 and then go dust that M3 at the dragstrip. I haven't seen any M3's that are setup to roadrace and run 10's

I loved my M3, but:

1. I learned a long time ago that making a car into something it wasn't wasn't the best idea. Maybe because I always had those damn rotaries in a pile and had to borrow rides to work in college.

2. Unless you really know how hard the rear engine cars launch, you're in for a big surprise.

Anyways, I am not detracting from what you are saying and have been looking to go to LACR. So let's meet up. If you beat my 500RWHP TT I will be the first to post it here. It won't be confrontational (and shouldn't be) this is all supposed to be fun.... I'll pump the car with 91 in front of you and show you the flash.

BTW I am not opposed to some HWY runs.

I have always wanted to see more Road Course callouts instead of "lets run from the cops" on the highway. This could get real interesting.

I'm in AZ...in fact, our club has rented the track (roadcourse) this Saturday. You are more than welcomed to come out. I'm not being hostile, I'm just saying that I think that my modded 996 will outperform a modded M3

I know that there are cars that are faster than mine and cars that handle better than mine. I just don't think that there are any that will outperform my car in both categories and be a comfortable, streetable, reliable daily driver.

 

LOL you are a trip! Man I wish I was still in AZ, you guys stay at the track. you have what I want a 10 sec road course car, I tried it with my Vette but the motor overheats with the turbos. So now, once I learn to drive this thing, I have the same plans with my turbo.

I would pay yo see this race on video, but most of all guys be safe, put your ego's aside on the track, safety first. I think this would be an excellent race but one thing is obvious, at your power levels, best driver wins because anyone can pay to have the power added to the car, but can you put all that power on the track?

I supposed you mean It wouldnt go far, on the contrary its proven that it works so that claim is invalid. Ive seen M3's easily best 996tt's on the track plenty of times. It could be driver but the M3 does handle very well.

Well i have a timeslip from a track and a dyno chart, id love to compare other cars at the same track. I also have some videos. Its all over the place, i dont want to make this a me vs the world thread.

You are indeed as cocky and obnoxious as people tell me. You dont know me so stop with the judgements (perhaps im a world class race car driver). Or maybe you are a professional race car driver in disguise, seems like you are confident enough (nice internet ego).

2. To be honest they dont launch as well as a front engine AWD car. Ive gone through MANY P-car's, theres 2 in the garage right now.

I'd love to go, i would even go tonight but the car is in another state now. I would have loved to meet up for a fun night. We had some nice meets on Thursdays in sherman oaks. You should just go up to LACR and run. Id love to see what your trap speed at LACR is.

 

With all due respect to the gentlemen that have contributed to our Porsche information board regarding the very large kahonies that your M3's have... Who the F@@K cares!!! This is a porsche inspired community of enthusiast that shows a greater degree of class and stature to not go on the M3 boards and say that you better look out for our cars that go Faaaaaaaaaart!!! Im up for almost any challenge granted its nearby. I can probably setup a SC M3 (friend of mine) race against Ari's car. Ill contact him. As far as calling people out to different states, its much easier.

Renntechv12, i challenge you to come to LA and run at Willow Springs and LACR. Ill bet my M3 will beat you in both.

To be honest I don't know if have enough talent for this car, I love the steets and would go in an instant. I'm the best driver of anyone I know, but that's not saying much since most of my friends are not "car" buddies. I felt like I was tearing up Willow in the M3. But I've never raced anyone.

I'm pretty confident I'll get you at the 1/4 though. We'll see.

I'm married with small kids, so weekdays are best for me. Do you know of any groups doing the streets?

Keep in mind this is with less then 500rwhp on my car. I had nitrous and more boost (lost 1 psi up there) on the streets.
