It will need to be proven as time progresses. The price tag is also pretty good in my eyes, 16k and you can be making 600+rwhp on a stock engine and muffler.
Did you talk to Chris, did he say he would be running the HPF "800" on pump or straight C16, im sure half the customers dont know this?!

Heres what i know (was told):

500rwhp on pump gas
600rwhp on race gas or methanol

The 671rwhp run was for testing, i dont think he will be giving it as a kit although he might (dont know for sure). Maybe he can offer 3 settings: pump, race gas, race gas+methanol. With power going 500rwhp-600rwhp-700rwhp. Ofcourse the last 2 should be used only sometimes (races). But im quite pleased with this and i think its a damn good deal. Basically a GT700-800 () M3 for 16k!!!

I think its an amazing deal and so far, crafted kit! But i was turned away immedately att he power he was after, in a PM from him to me, it made it seem as it was "all time 800 hp" not different race or pump modes. For his sake, i hope it is, again, its scary to think otherwise

I respect what they are doing, i just dont think it makes sense!
agreed, out of the box, the motor is dialed enough for this chassis and way too much fun. Suspension on the otherhand needs attention...

Nope, hes not dumb, he knows what he is doing. The Stock motor cant handle 600rwhp on pump, it needs race gas or methanol. Its known for sure he is offering 500rwhp on pump and 600+rwhp on race gas. He also did say 600rwhp on pump gas but with methanol.

and what happens when Mr CA highway patrol trooper pulls over the M3 b/c of that pshhht sound? and pops the hood to see some turbos? and kindly asks Mr M3 to go to the nearest state ref?

that's why i like the 996tt more & more every day. the mods are 'stealth' - a CA trained police officer can not spot them. i'm guessing neither can the state ref but that's one i don't want to test

Its not a top mount so you cant see any turbo's. The turbo is down below, all you can see really is a pipe going down from the intake manifold. I was once pulled over and inspected, the CHP officer saw my supercharger and said it looked nice.

had enough neg attention with STi's so I debadged and tossed the wing (way too heavy and useless for all but high speed sweepers on the track anyways). M will be debadged shortly as well, stealth is the way to go these days

btw chuck we need to meet up for some photos once the sunny weather becomes more frequent

ok your talking stealth? of course a 996tt is stealth you can even reach your hand half way down because of how compact and hidden away it is. in my turbo all you hear are the wastegates opening and unless you throw a blow off valve on the m3 its not going to sounds like a 3000gt or a supra.

It sounds very much like a supra, you can hear the wastegate open in the video and the air vent off through its BOV

Still looking forward to reports on that 1300hp M3 of yours. That's gonna be a beast! When will it be done?

We are hoping a month or so, its completely custom so theres always minor setbacks. Looking at the build sheet/technical information (done by the Pro's) 1300HP is the goal and it sure seems possible. We will just wait and see.

What do you plan on doing for traction?? (Body wise, track, tires, wheels, motronic?, suspension?) Pretty curious!

I would like to run one of these 600 rwhp stock internals. I am in Texas, is there one close by? My only requirement is that we run on good old Texas 93. If you protest that, then I should be allowed to upgrade to a full Protomotive 100 octane race package. I will still be on stock internals albeit at 675 rwhp.

I still call bul**** on the entire premise of this thread: That an M3 on stock internals can run w/a 996 on stock internals. Lets run and videotape it.
