I can verify that the "regulation off" for locked suspension does work since I use it about once a month in the 958.

The intended purpose is to stop the truck from auto-leveling when jacking up the vehicle to change a spare. Believe it or not, the truck will "adjust its weight" if you try to jack it up without locking the air suspension- even with the ignition off.

Very scary since it trys to move off the jack

With that said, you have to watch the instrument cluster very carefully for the notification that it is off or on. The notification is so subtle that you can miss it (especially if you have other alerts .. like bulb out, tire pressure, etc). I think there is an audible beep on lock, but no beep on unlock.

Go figure.


EDIT: I should also add that it will lock in ANY position. So when I am changing a tire, I lock in the "loading setting". I plan on locking the setting in terrain when the snow is unbearably high for clearance. Note that this is dangerous and you could roll over if you drive too fast.

 

My '08 GTS unlocks as soon as I start driving and goes back to normal operation. Perhaps this feature operates as you describe only on the 958s?

...and if you are in reverse, you can adjust where the pass mirror will change too when reversing (manual says to put park brake on for adjustment).

As far as the reverse function of the mirrors - you can have them both swing down at the same time if you set it up on the wiper stalk. I think it's under Settings - Comfort - or something like that. And while it's in reverse you can store the settings in the seat memory for the mirrors - and on the key! It's in the manual.

FWIW - I too learned after 3 months that the back glass hatch could be opened. But good luck opening the cargo cover only through that hatch!

What year is your C ? If it's a 995 - 03'-06' start your car, go to the main menu on the instrument gauge, squeeze the bottom button on the right lever directly behind the wheel, use the end of the lever for up and down and scroll down to settings, click bottom button, scroll down to comfort, sselect alarm and then uncheck the box saying interior and/or angle. Use this same method for activating your alarm to sound when locking your doors, you can select one click to unlock all at once or driver only with 2 clicks for all. I've owned my CTT for 8 years and sitting at a draw bridge on day I started to mess with it, I never knew what main menu was for

 

I think this locking in suspension would only work for 958 models and later. My 957 would not lock any position nomatter how long i press the level for.

 

I haven't tried it but my manual does say that you can do this. My ctt is an 05.

 

Another neat feature is the Cayenne comes with a booklet explaining all these features.

I think people have an easier time reading via a medium they enjoy going to, rather than opening up a manual to lear this. So in effect, this forum serves the purpose it was intended to fulfill (help educate those interested in the topic - Cayenne).

Not sure I read this...but here we go :
If you press 'REST" button (different loction for "11+) after key removed from ignition , the hot air will still push for about 25 minutes.
On the "11+, this feature works with the A/C too.
So if it is too hot or too cold outisde, and you do a little stop, this could be very usefull.
