That is very strange. If the clock is not included, was it available as an option? Did you check out other Cayennes at your dealer, any clocks?

Hard to believe they only included clock within that 3 month period. Which makes mine a special limited edition? LOL

Does the compass (if equiped) capable of displaying the time? I thought I read somewhere that the altitude could be swapped with time...

I have the compass and have not figured out how to swap the altitude for the time. If it is possible, then it has to be something the dealer programs. The only compass option is to turn the display on or off.

I have always enjoyed having some sort of compass in my car, but I really don't use it that much. If I want to know the direction I'm heading in, odds are that I have the navigation screen on as well and it is easy to get that information from there.

I do enjoy looking at my altitude though.

I think that the dash looks nicer with it in than without, but i would still prefer for it to be a clock.

My 2012 Cayenne V6 is a December 2011 build, completed December 17. Mine has the dashboard clock and door locks on the door. Could be this is Porsche USA modification.

It really is just the sports chorno running different software to make it clock. The photo is of the 997 sports chorno and 958 clock.

Maybe it's just me but I find it annoying that the most obvious visual on the clock, is Not the clock.

For those with the compass option: does your compass make a "clicking" sound when turning as the compass adjust to the new heading?

does yours? i'm thinking of installing the compass and assumed it was a "smooth" rotation, like a compass normally is. are you saying this is not the case?

My CS arrived with the compass clicking noise; it's a defect and the dealer replaced it in the first week. Send it back for a replacement compass.
