CTT Without PDCC Yes / No
CTT Without PDCC Yes / No
Hi all
Although I just bought my 2011 CD I have a couple of CTT options, one with PDCC and one without?
The one with doesn't have the adaptive seats which I really like and the one without does, but I wonder if I will regret not having the PDCC?
Anyone driven both in the real world (wont ever track it) to be able to say if its a MUST have?
I know its very much a must have in the 957 but my CD handles really well anyway and I'm sure the Turbo will be a step up again, even WITHOUT PDCC?
Appreciate the feedback
Thanks
Carl

If you are never going to track or AutoX it then it's probably not critical, but it might be a future resale issue as many people (at least the enthusiasts) want the CGTS and CTT/S to have all the suspension (PASM, PDCC, and Air) and drive train (PTV+) goodies. It may not impact the price much, but more the speed at which it sells.
At least that seems to be how the market is here in the NA markets.

Absolutely !!
I drove both before buying my 2015 S and the difference is dramatic. After taking a corner very aggressively I then took the same corner in a car without PDCC. The car had to kick in PSM to save me. It is as close to 911 like handling you will ever get out of such a large vehicle. My S is so much fun to drive I just plugged my 911 into the battery maintainer maybe for the rest of the winter. Of course we just got 5" of new snow last night!

I was getting way up there in terms of price on my 2015 gts order and something had to be passed on. It was really burmester or extra performance and I went with outrageously priced stereo. I am not tracking this car or really driving super hard. Figured with the lowered suspension and hopefully tuned to be a bit sportier I wont miss out too much with my driving style. Also read many posts with issues with CDCC failing and i think I will pass on added maintenance. My order is locked so no sense on crying over check boxes I did not get and I have a feeling this car will corner damn good on 21 inch wheels without the damn electronic roll bar system.
Hopefully some of those other options I did chose make me forget about this one super cool one I passed on. Best of luck on your choice, I say get it if money and maintenance are no concern.

The difference IS tangible - but only if you are driving the car hard. Everyday driving you probably won't notice the difference. Fun option if money is of no concern - but I'd wager you'd get far more use out of that fancy Burmester from a practicality standpoint
* Just noticed that the user with the Burmester was not the same as the OP -- if shopping for a new Cayenne and it's an option, definitely go for it! It will help resale value for the enthusiast buyer.

We got 3x 958 Cayennes in the family and mine is the only one with PDCC, and PTV. You can feel the difference and it is pretty noticeable.
I could not tell the difference between the Bose and the Burmister in an A/B test with the same music. Of course I have 74 year old ears. YMMV but if your older than 55 you might not hear the difference either. Best do you own test before wasting a lot of money on sound you can't hear.
