Thats a great build!
My first 958 Cayenne was a V6 diesel back in 2010, I really liked the torque and strong pull from the start up to 3500 rpm.
Not sure if this is the same smooth 3.0l VW diesel engine that mine had or a newer version. Either way you'll love it.

I also am waiting on a blk on blk 2013 diesel. Especially painful for me since it has been built since June 26. My dealer says they won't release diesels in Canada until early september and I'm pretty sure I'm one of the very first Canadian deliveries. Very painful indeed!!!

Got a note from my dealer yesterday saying that my my Diesel is on a boat headed towards Halifax (it left Germany late last week). He says it should arrive at the Toronto dealership in 3 weeks. Fingers crossed!

I'm hoping to test drive one next week... dealer said they are in route from the port. I'm looking forward to seeing how they perform, and hopefully putting in a build order.

I'm interested in hearing your feedback from the drive... how did it perform, acceleration, did it feel sluggish, real world gas milage (MPG), etc...

Also, I know the MB Bluetec Diesels require an additive (something about making it all 50 state emissions friendly) 1 - 2 times a year. Will this be the case with the Cayenne? If so, how often (miles) and any idea on costs.

Jealous, we have a 11' A3 Tdi S-line + Titanium Sports daily driver in the family and i'd love to get in a Cayenne diesel. They are such cool/rare cars that are a pleasure to drive and hit the highway in

So I drove the Cayenne Diesel yesterday around Ontario and then into the mountains nearby. Have to say this car is nice. Quieter than the V6 and plenty of torque to get you moving. The revised MPG numbers are 29 highway, 19 City the cruising range of 765. The 3.0 VTG Turbo has no lag whatsoever and is very smooth.

Yes, there will be an additive to remove particulates from the exhaust. Its called AdBlue and has to be replaced every 10k miles. This tank is under the spare tire and holds 4.76 gallons. Total cost would be about $36 to buy. Note when you have 600 miles left of AdBlue and you turn off your car it will not start unless you put in at least 1.5 gallons. The oil changes in the diesel are every 5K instead of the standard 10K. Dealers should be getting some in the next few weeks.

Lucky you! I've been told by my dealer one should be arriving any day now, so looking forward to getting behind the wheel. As for your experience, have you driven other Cayenne's (I'm assuming yes)? If so, can you compare it to either the 6 or S (I know it's not really a fair comparison - gas vs diesel)?

Thanks for the heads up on the AdBlue, much cheaper then the MB additive. As for the oil change, 5k has always been the standard for me

Once a diesel ... always a diesel.... torque is addictive... and so is the effortless stump-pulling-get-out-of-my-way attitude.
