Moe, now that the new porsche nav screens are touch screen (many fingerprints) what cleaner and cloth do you recommend? Do you have any experience with the clear covers that some companies recommend?

You want to use the safest and simplest product on the nav screen. The ONLY product I recommend and use on the nav screen is einszett ****pit Premium. It works great as it lifts the oils and dirt from your fingertip marks on the screen while not leaving any haze. Use a very high quality microfiber that has a long nap as to not scratch the screen.

Great question...

After washing, if doing a full exterior detail, you'll need to clay before polishing. After claying, you may be able to polish by hand if the swirls are minor. After polishing, you can apply a sealant or a wax. If you are trying to go for durability and the carnauba look, you'd apply the sealant first, then apply the carnauba wax.

1. Wash
2. Clay
3. Polish
4. Seal (optional)
5. Wax

Does this answer your question?

If you clayed and polished last month, then you don't have to do it again. A good synthetic sealant would be rejex. You can layer it over a few applications. Then I would simply wash with a polymer soap like einszett Perls and wax using einszett spray wax to maintain.

Please feel free to call me if you hae any questions about what products you're use to getting and their new counterpart from Swissvax.

Regards,
Absolutely....great question. We do this on all the higher end details. It only makes sense since the same contaminants that are on the paint, are on the glass. You can also polish the glass with a glass polish.

Rotary wheel brush?

I see these wheel brushes, well not really brush but floppy things that you put in the cordless drill. It gets into the spokes quite well and seems to be a time saver.
Where do you get these?

If your wheels are in good shape, and you routinely clean the inside of them, a brush like this is ideal and most professionals use it on their details:

The brush you speak of can be purchased here:

IMHO, I see it more as a novelty rather than a useful tool.
