F430

The Lambo has a different kind of style, one that is over the top and gaudy. Not to say they don't look cool, but the Ferrari has more class and will age better in my opinion. Plus RWD and that beautiful engine note beats the V10 IMO.

I'd go with the F430, both fun cars but different feelings/experience

And as others have said, the F430's line are classy and timeless like most everything that comes out of Maranello

I'm actually surprised so few people have responded to the OP: "1. reliablity, 2. price and 3. lower maintainance cost.." He didn't mention style or performance just costs. Again, I say...Gallardo.

No comparison for me....Scud was the clear cut winner

If you buy a Lambo you will always still want a Ferrari
If you buy a Ferrari I doubt you will long for a Lambo
very true, +1, once you have a ferrari, lambo just does not fit the bill

av2 is infamous around these parts
Performance wise, the F430 F1 is much quicker than the earlier 500hp Gallardos with either an E-gear or manual. 360s is as quick as these early Gs. Look wise, the Gallardos are in the same family as the recent Cadillacs. The edgy stealth boomer design belongs on an airplane.

I've only ridden in a Gallardo and I've owned the F430 for a few years. To be honest, I didn't like the Gallardo. It just seemed clunky, heavy, and mechanical.

a 360 is no where near the speed of an early gallardo, as they still have a solid 100hp advantage. hell a 500 maranello can't beat a 500hp gallardo and those have 485hp.

Personally I would go with the F430. Both are great cars though.

I prefer the sound of the Lambo over the F430/F360. It would be a tough call against the F355, though.

As for the OP's question, the reliability record and maintenance costs of F430 seems to be much better than its predecessors, but I'm sure it still costs a lot more to fix than the Lambo if something major broke.

It's down to what your after really. If your after something to man handle to keep in control, go for the ferrari. If your after something to cruise in and, from time to time, put a massive smile of your face, the lambo is the one to go for.
Performance wise (this is a question for all the ferrari owners), the big hoo haa about Chris Harris's article, is it true??
