I love both cars, I don't think i could pick one between a 430 spider or Gallardo Spyder, nor between a Lp560 or a Scuderia.
IMO, i think they are aimed a two different types of individuals with different lifestyles.
This would be a Ferrari/Aston martin owner
This would be a Lambo owner

I just went through the same situation. I wound up buying an F430 for a few reasons.
1) I am not an italian car guy so I thought my downside in the Ferrari would be less than the Lambo if I did not like it.
2) The Lambos interior looks like a Honda Civic next to the Ferrari in terms of detail and design ( I have full leather, full stitch, full carbon).
3) In the NY area (where I am) Lambo owners are basically Corvette owners with money. Big time guidos.
4) If anyone wants a 2005 Ferrari F430 with 7000 miles Red/Beige, let me know. I am going back to a 997 GT2.
5) Porsche, there is no substitute.

I would definately get the Lambo Lp 560 or 570 over a 430 or even a 458.
Although i have driver 458 on a race and i do believe that is a more presice car, i still like the Lambo for the sound and appearance. Note also that it has the world record on Vairano race track, the only time under 1.14". So its beautiful and fast as well.
As far as concern reliability it seems that Lambos face some problems, on the other hand they are far more economical on fuel than Ferrai

So when cross-shopping a Lamborghini Gallardo or Ferrari F430, we are worried about a few cents per mile more or less?
I've seen ownerships that cost more than $1/mile in maintenance and other costs, fuel being almost non-existent.
Perhaps I'm going about this the wrong way.
