Car&Driver has lost it!
After reading the post about Porche and Nissan, and how the mags seemed to favor the GTR, i was walking down the magazine row and saw that C&D has done another lightning lap...
Superciliously placed in the front row was the GTR, next to a Ferrari.
I decided to search for a porch on the cover... nowhere...
THERE IS A FREAKING DODGE CROSSOVER BUT NOT PORCHE...
Not even a Cayman... nothing.
I believe there were two last year though... (a 996gt3 and a c4s i think???)
Did i miss something or do the mags have a little bias???

You may not recall this, but this is not the first time that C&D has lost it. Back in 1964, a comparison road test between the Pontiac GTO and the Ferrari GTO. In some ways it's like the Nissan thing. Nissan can create a single purpose car that may beat you at the Ring. What has distinguished Porsche's is the fact that they are comfortable, they start every day, the a/c works, the brakes work, etc. and it will last over 100K miles. Just look at a Ferrari, almost any Ferrari, most think it is better looking than a Porsche. But you don't (or shouldn't) see 40,000 mile (street) GT3's for sale with the added kicker, "engine just rebuilt".
C+D only test a car one at their "Ring", The Turbo, GT3, and Cayman have all been run in the past. I think that the next run will include a 997.2.
They want people to refer to the different tests and make comparisons from one article to another.

can't believe how quick the cobalt SS was!!!
I was also pissed to see no GT2, that said, I doubt they didn't try to get one!
