License Plate

Hey

I know it differs in each country and state but does anyone know if the panamera comes standard with a bracket for the license plate or can I have it without? And do they drill holes on the body to place the bracket?
How does this work in Washinton DC..

They don't come from the factory drilled. Your local dealer does that upon delivery which you can inform them that you refuse to have it drilled. You will sign another paper upon delivery to assume all liabilities of not having a front plate.

I haven't driven with a front plate in 20 years. I'll eat that ticket if I ever do get it. I consider it part of the cost of ownership (like paying for premium fuel).

I agree. I haven't had a front license plate in 35 years and the only time it was even mentioned was by a cop who was giving me a parking ticket and pointed out the lack of a plate when I was talking to him. He didn't care, nor have other law enforcement people who have given me speeding tickets over the years.

One last consideration. I travel internationally on occasion and I was ticketed in the international lot at o'hare. They had a lot of guys walking around with the dogs as I recall. It was only a parking ticket, so not that much.

Two plates are required in Texas but I have never added the front plate to any of my sports cars. I refuse to drill holes. I have never been stopped for this infraction. At local car meets one rarely sees a mounted front plate. I'll take my chances with a ticket.

I got the Porsche OEM plate holder from the dealer and yes it requires at least 2 holes on the front bumper. Can purchase an aftermarket tow hook plate holder like Rho Plate:
