Panamera GTS Exhaust

Just notice that my Panamera GTS exhaust sound the same no matter the sport exhaust bottom is on or off. It’s like it’s always on sports mod. Any idea?

After the car is warmed, look into your tailpipe (2 outlets on each side). With Sports Exhaust "off", the inboard outlet should have a flap (easily seen) in the closed position. With Sports Exhaust "ON", the inboard outlet flap is in the open position.

Some owners mod the exhaust by removing the vacuum line to the exhaust flap so that it is open all the time (in the louder position). Check and see if the line is hooked up.

Good point, somehow I forgot about that.... BUT, are you sure that by removing vacuum line flap will stay open, not closed ? I'm asking because I had Audi S8 with V10 engine and flaps were opening on higher revs only, when creating vacuum (was no button for sport exhaust), to keep them open all the time I had to fix them in open position with a piece of metal wire.

My Bentley GT's had the same vacuum exhaust and when you disconnect the vacuum line the exhaust valves opened and got louder. Panamera is the same.
Check out this site, there is a video of it.

I would suggest you manipulate the lever on the exhaust by hand before you head to the dealer, sometimes they can get stuck/stiff with road grime. Just push on the rod/plunger, it should move back and forth with some effort.
