Yea, I saw you on the grid in front of me, then on track for about 2 seconds, until You, Jim, Craig, and Dell took off. I had no hope of keeping up. I may buy Craigs Motons off his RS, then I'll have a fighting chance of keeping you guys in sight for a few more laps definitely good times and weather! You doing Potomac 9/5-7 ..I'll be there.

Matt, Jim's car is making probably at 580-ish HP to the wheels. They dyno'd it with the new motor last week and the airtemp in the shop was 120 degrees. At that time He made 566WHP. They did a whole bunch of tweaking to the software to smooth things out before it came back from Texas.

He wanted a car that would be capable of running with you and the cup car guys... Guess he got one!

HP is HP.... but you still have to be able to drive to get that car around the track... The big thing about Jims Vette ...

No doubt. He's one hell of a shoe...

Here's the kicker, in 2004 I was talking him into doing DEs... September that year he did hist first Friday At The Track (FATT) at summit point with BSR... He was in a 2003 Corvette.

Soon after, he was fully hooked... 4 years later he's running 2:02s at VIR... Simply amazing...

Seat time. You other guys reading this thread, Seat time... That gets you fast... Dell ran 2:03 in a 2004 GT3 "street" car (use term loosely there!)

There are a handfull of you guys, Matt, and you're all in another zipcode when it comes to driving these cars!

Very interesting... This seems to be the first legitimate track report of a stock private owner GT-R... 1:58s at TWS set up from the factory... Pretty impressive actually...

Would have been a lot lower had I had a full three days worth of tracking instead of my 1 session...

Not real happy about how the weekend turned out from a driving standpoint....
